David Cross (born April 4, 1964) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and voice artist, known primarily for his standup work, the HBO sketch comedy series Mr. Show, and his role as Tobias Fünke in the sitcom Arrested Development. Cross created, wrote, executive produced, and starred in The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, developed and had a prominent role in Freak Show, appeared on Modern Family, portrayed Ian Hawke in the Alvin and the Chipmunks film franchise, and voiced Crane in the Kung Fu Panda film franchise.
Cross was born in Atlanta, Georgia on April 4, 1964, the son of Barry and Susi, the former of whom emigrated from Leeds, England. Six months after his birth, Cross' family moved to Florida. After additional moves to New York and Connecticut, the family settled back in Roswell, Georgia, where Cross remained for nearly a decade. His family was poor and Barry left the family when Cross was 10 years old; the two have not spoken since he was 19, though they both primarily resided in New York City until Cross sold his home there in 2011. Cross and his family were evicted from their home while living in Georgia. He spent some time living in motels and at friends' homes while growing up. He has two sisters and once bailed his youngest sibling out of jail.

They have produced installations for City Limits, EAST International, and In the Midst of Things. Their project, Childhood’s End, was produced by Film and Video Umbrella and purchased by the Contemporary Art Society in 2001. Their work has been exhibited in the UK at the Bluecoat Gallery of Liverpool, the Northern Gallery of Contemporary Art, the Institute of Contemporary Arts, The Photographers' Gallery, and the South London Gallery. Their work has also been displayed in the United States at the Basekamp Gallery of Philadelphia, the Marcel Sitcoske Gallery of San Francisco, and the Nikolai Fine Art gallery of New York City. In 2000 they held an Arts Council residency at the London School of Economics, and in 2004 a British Council artists’ residency in Guangzhou, China.
David Cross (born April 23, 1949) is an electric violinist born in Turnchapel near Plymouth, England, best known for playing with progressive rock band King Crimson during the 1970s (particularly on Larks' Tongues in Aspic and Starless and Bible Black). He also plays keyboards.
After King Crimson, Cross formed a jazzy improvising band called They Came from Plymouth. With Keith Tippett (piano), Dan Maurer (drums) and Jim Juhn (guitar, bass, percussion), he formed a short-lived project in 1987 called Low Flying Aircraft. In 1998, he was invited by Geoff Serle to join Radius. Besides Cross and Serle (keyboards, electronics, samples), Radius included Sheila Malony (on keyboards), Maxine Braham and Carlo Lucius Asciutti (vocals).
Since the mid-1980s, he has also led his own band, the earlier incarnations of which featured American drummer Dan Maurer, English keyboard player Sheila Maloney and the Liverpool bassist/vocalist John Dillon. Former and current King Crimson members John Wetton, Robert Fripp, and Peter Sinfield, as well as guest lyricist Richard Palmer-James, have all guested on his solo projects.

David Cross (born 8 December 1950) is an English former footballer who played as a striker. He scored 223 goals in 599 appearances in the Football League and the North American Soccer League. Cross was born in Heywood, Lancashire.
Cross played for Rochdale, Norwich City (with whom he won the second division championship in 1972), and Coventry City. He is remembered as being the only Coventry City player to ever score hatricks on the opening and closing days of a campaign. He joined West Bromwich Albion for £150,000 in November 1976. He made his Albion debut against Manchester City. Cross then moved on to West Ham United for £180,000 on 9 December 1977. He made his debut a week later, against West Brom.
Cross scored 9 goals in 21 league games during his initial season at the club, but this wasn't enough to prevent relegation to Division Two. His first full season brought 18 goals, with 12 the following season.
Cross played as the lone striker during the 1980 FA Cup Final win against Arsenal. He scored 22 goals with the side that won Division Two in 1980–81, ensuring the club's promotion back to Division One. Cross was awarded the 1980–81 golden boot after scoring 34 goals.
David Cross (born 7 September 1982) is an English footballer who played in The Football League for Notts County. His only appearance for County came in a 2–1 defeat away at Chesterfield at the end of the 1999–2000 season.
David (Bulgarian: Давид) (died 976) was a Bulgarian noble, brother of Emperor Samuel and eldest son of komes Nicholas. After the disastrous invasion of Rus' armies and the fall of North-eastern Bulgaria under Byzantine occupation in 971, he and his three younger brothers took the lead of the defence of the country. They executed their power together and each of them governed and defended a separate region. He ruled the southern-most parts of the realm from Prespa and Kastoria and was responsible for the defence the dangerous borders with Thessalonica and Thessaly. In 976 he participated in the major assault against the Byzantine Empire but was killed by vagrant Vlachs between Prespa and Kostur.
However, there's also another version about David’s origin. David gains the title "comes" during his service in the Byzantine army which recruited many Armenians from the Eastern region of the empire. The 11th-century historian Stepanos Asoghik wrote that Samuel had one brother, and they were Armenians from the district Derjan. This version is supported by the historians Nicholas Adontz, Jordan Ivanov, and Samuil's Inscription where it’s said that Samuel’s brother is David. Also, the historians Yahya and Al Makin clearly distinguish the race of Samuel and David (the Comitopouli) from the one of Moses and Aaron (the royal race):
