London i/ˈlʌndən/ is the capital and most populous city of England and the United Kingdom. Standing on the River Thames, London has been a major settlement for two millennia. It was founded by the Romans, who named it Londinium. London's ancient core, the City of London, largely retains its 1.12-square-mile (2.9 km2) medieval boundaries and in 2011 had a resident population of 7,375, making it the smallest city in England. Since at least the 19th century, the term London has also referred to the metropolis developed around this core. The bulk of this conurbation forms Greater London, a region of England governed by the Mayor of London and the London Assembly. The conurbation also covers two English counties: the small district of the City of London and the county of Greater London. The latter constitutes the vast majority of London, though historically it was split between Middlesex (a now abolished county), Essex, Surrey, Kent and Hertfordshire.
Anna Kendrick (born August 9, 1985) is an American actress and singer. She began her career as a child actor in theater productions. Her first prominent role was in the 1998 Broadway musical High Society, which earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. She made her film debut in the musical comedy Camp (2003).
Kendrick rose to prominence for her supporting role in The Twilight Saga (2008–12), the blockbuster film franchise based on Stephenie Meyer’s book series of the same name. She went on to earn critical acclaim for her performance in Up in the Air (2009), including an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
Kendrick has since featured in successful films like the comedy-drama 50/50 (2011), the crime drama End of Watch (2012), and the musical fantasy Into the Woods (2014). She has achieved further fame for playing the protagonist in the successful musical comedy Pitch Perfect (2012) and its blockbuster sequel Pitch Perfect 2 (2015).
Justin Randall Timberlake (born January 31, 1981) is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer. He appeared on the television shows Star Search and The All-New Mickey Mouse Club as a child. In the late 1990s, Timberlake rose to prominence as one of the two lead vocalists and youngest member of NSYNC, which eventually became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. They released the albums NSYNC (1998), No Strings Attached (2000), and Celebrity (2001). During the group's hiatus, Timberlake released his debut solo album, the R&B-focused Justified (2002), which included the successful singles "Cry Me a River" and "Rock Your Body", and earned his first two Grammy Awards.
His second record, FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006), distinguished from his previous release by its wide range of musical influences, debuted atop the US Billboard 200 and produced the Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "SexyBack", "My Love", and "What Goes Around... Comes Around". With his first two albums exceeding sales of 10 million copies worldwide, he was established as one of the most commercially successful singers of the decade. He also has collaborated with other artists, including Timbaland ("Give It to Me") and Madonna ("4 Minutes"). From 2008 through 2012, Timberlake focused on his acting career, effectively putting his music career on hiatus; he held starring roles in the films The Social Network, Bad Teacher, In Time, and Friends with Benefits.

An animated timeline showing how the Underground started in 1863, and then grew over the years. Note that the exact tube map lines colours that you know (eg. Yellow for the Circle Line) aren't shown, as it was originally part of the Metropolitan Line which is what this animation shows. Also: The stations in the Hounslow area are really tricky to show (Hounslow Town opened in 1883, closed in 1886, then had a period when it was open again between 1903 and 1909) which is why we have a separate animated timeline of railways in the Hounslow area. The Northern City Line was not originally part of the Northern Line but is shown here in black, as it did later become part of the Northern Line, and appeared on carriage maps of Northern Line trains.

West Ham hit by new trouble at the London Stadium during Middlesbrough clash
We were lucky to see Mark Webber, the famous racing driver, driving the Le Mans-winning Porsche 919 Hybrid on the road, whilst filming for a Panamera commercial. The car can be seen cruising past the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye.
The video above shows the astonishing footage of three young men sneaking into West Ham 's London Stadium, climbing to the roof, running across the pitch and sitting in the dugout. Naming themselves Night Scape, the lads manage to access the stadium's concourse after passing through bushes and high grass. Circling the stadium, the video appears to show the boys, led by chief cameraman Harry Gallagher, find an open door - which accesses the underground of the stadium. From here, Night Scape are able to gain entry to the stadium's seats.Taking time to pose with the West Ham stadium sign on the way down, the three gentlemen then take to the pitch. The boys run all the way across the turf and pull out an array of impressive flips in the process. The video ends with Gallagher in the dugout a...

Join Theme Park Worldwide in a YouTube exclusive full tour of the Tooley Street London Dungeon. The attraction opened at the site in 1974 as more of a horrible history attraction before turning into an actor-led, interactive experience. On January 31st 2013 the Tooley Street London Dungeon closed for the last time before moving to the new site at County Hall, close to The London Eye. This video was recorded by specially arranged permission from The London Dungeon and due to the nature of this attraction, it is very dark in certain places. Featuring: Russell Brand, Will Self, Iain Sinclair and Nick Papadimitriou Directed by John Rogers John Rogers' film looks at the city we deny and the future city that awaits us. Leading London writers and cultural commentators Will Self, Iain Sinclair and Russell Brand explore the importance of the liminal spaces at the city's fringe, its Edgelands, through the work of enigmatic and downright eccentric writer and researcher Nick Papadimitriou - a man whose life is dedicated to exploring and archiving areas beyond the permitted territories of the high street, the retail park, the suburban walkways. The ideas of psychogeography and Nick's own deep topography are also explored. The London Perambulator premiered at The Whitechapel Gallery in the East End Film Festival, April 2009. It has a...
