TV9 - Shivanna 25 : "Sridhar & Wife Anuradha" Bharatnatyam Performance - 3....!
The entire Kannada film industry is coming together today, 2nd March 2011, to celebrate Shivraj Kumar's successful stint in the Sandalwood for the past 25 years. And what better day to do it than the Maha Shivratri!
A grand function will be held at Gayatri Vihar in Palace Grounds and it will be attended by noted film stars, directors, producer, technicians and politicians. A cultural program is also on cards and this will go on for three hours with noted celebrities performing on stage.
The ever-magnanimous Shivanna also has plans to felicitate Ramesh Aravind, Jagesh and V Ravichandran, who have also completed 25 years in the Kannada film industry. Kannada satellite channel TV9 has procured the broadcasting rights of this mega-scale event.

Plot Summary:
The story follows the life of a young man, Jai Raj (Sharan), who escapes from police custody to look for his missing father, Nagabharana. Yogaraj (Harish Raj), who stays with his maternal uncle, (Ramakrishna) is searching for a bride. As per the family astrologer, he should marry a girl of a particular nakshatra and only then will he do well in life. Yogaraj, not quite successful in his business, needs to follow his uncle’s instructions, so that he can inherit the family’s wealth. Meanwhile, he falls for Lalitha (Aishwarya Devan), daughter of a businessman (Suchendra Prasad) living in Mumbai. However, Lalitha’s father rejects the relationship. Yograj takes his lawyer friend Lakshminarayan’s (Ravi Shankar) help to convince his uncle, who finally agrees to meet the girl. Unfortunately, the day the meeting is supposed to happen, Lalitha leaves Yogaraj and goes back to Mumbai. In order to convince his uncle, Yogaraj brings Jai Lalitha, a theatre artist, home. Shridhar (actor)
Sridhar is an Indian actor in the Kannada film industry, and also a dance scholar, performer and choreographer, trained in Bharatanatyam. He also holds a degree in Engineering. Sridhar is married to Anuradha, also a Bharatanatyam dance performer; both have performed for many dance shows as a duo.
Film career
He entered Kannada cinema as a hero in film Amrutha Ghalige, directed by Puttanna Kanagal. Since then he has acted in more than 60 films and has won many awards for his performances. He has acted in five languages namely Kannada Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.
Kannada
He won the Karnataka State Government's Best Actor Award for his performance as the saint-poet Sharief, in the film "Santa Shishunala Shariefa". This film also won the prestigious Nargis Dutt award from the Central Government. His film Bannada Vesha in Kannada won the regional best film award in which he portrayed the character of a yakshagana artist. He also acted in many devotional films.
Tamil
K.Balachander introduced him to the Tamil screen with his film "Manathil Uruthi Vendum" (with Suhasini). He later acted in several Tamil films including Poo Pootta Nandavanam (with Sarita), Maha Maayi (with Shobhana).

Plot: After an enraged Rohit Bajaj fires his employee, Raghu Patkar, a male named Vicky Sinha, rescues Rohit's wife, Neha, when her car explodes. A grateful Rohit and his sister, Sanjana, permit Vicky to move in with them in their mansion. Subsequently, Vicky and Sanjana fall in love but quite surprisingly this does not auger well with Neha and she reprimands her sister-in-law. Shortly thereafter Sanjana finds out that Neha and Vicky were former lovers and informs her brother. Then Sanjana falls from the second floor, is injured and gets hospitalized. When she regains her senses, she informs Rohit that Vicky had attempted to kill her. An enraged Rohit assaults Vicky, and is subsequently arrested. After a trial through the courts, Vicky is able to prove that Sanjana's fall was accidental, and Rohit is warned to stay away from Vicky. Plot: Sridhar has been trying to become a music director for eight years. In spite of having earned an M.A., his only dream is to become a music director (he even calls the eight-year wait a "penance"). His family (father, his brother Shiva, his sister-in-law Shantha and his sister) are fully supportive of him. He runs into Viji and their friendship soon blossoms into love. She helps him get a foot in the door in the industry but bad luck spoils his chances. When Viji's sister's marriage is finalized suddenly, Viji's father asks her to get married too. But he is understandably worried when he learns that Sridhar is unemployed and following a dream that has not been realized for 8 years. Her father even offers a job to him also. But he refuses to do that since his primary goal is to become music director. But he also realizes that he has to support his family. Will he be able to do both?

Plot: Leela and Bholaram are a childless couple. Leela works as a midwife, and one day assists Sunderdas' wife to give birth to twin boys. She decides to keep one baby for herself, and tells Sunderdas that his wife has given birth to one child. There are complications for the mother, and she passes away without seeing her children. Leela and Bholaram bring up Kanhaiya, while Sunderdas attempts to bring up Kishen, but is unable to do a good job. So he marries Kamini, who comes along with her brother, Ghendamal, to live at the estate. She has an illegitimate child named Ramesh from another man, and when Sunderdas comes to know of this, he is threatened and attacked, and as a result of which p is paralyzed, unable to move. Kishen is brought by Kamini and Ghendamal with lot of abuse, and intimidation, and is kept illiterate, so that he can blindly sign away whatever documents he is asked to sign. Kishen likes Radha, a servant, and is married, but the atrocities do not stop, and then Kishen runs away. Ghendamal captures Kanhaiya, who also looks like Kishen, and brings him back, not realizing that the tables are now going against him.

Plot: Due to her son's, Devdutt's arrest, Satyavati is unable to take the Badrinath Yatra. Plot Summary:
The story follows the life of a young man, Jai Raj (Sharan), who escapes from police custody to look for his missing father, Nagabharana. Yogaraj (Harish Raj), who stays with his maternal uncle, (Ramakrishna) is searching for a bride. As per the family astrologer, he should marry a girl of a particular nakshatra and only then will he do well in life. Yogaraj, not quite successful in his business, needs to follow his uncle’s instructions, so that he can inherit the family’s wealth. Meanwhile, he falls for Lalitha (Aishwarya Devan), daughter of a businessman (Suchendra Prasad) living in Mumbai. However, Lalitha’s father rejects the relationship. Yograj takes his lawyer friend Lakshminarayan’s (Ravi Shankar) help to convince his uncle, who finally agrees to meet the girl. Unfortunately, the day the meeting is supposed to happen, Lalitha leaves Yogaraj and goes back to Mumbai. In order to convince his uncle, Yogaraj brings Jai Lalitha, a theatre artist, home. The two vital roles of this film - killer and to be killed - played by Atul Kulkarni and Aditya Singh is based on the script of well known writer and editor of 'Agni' tabloid Agni Sridhar. Earlier, Bhavana was supposed to play the lead role. But she has been replaced by Aakanksha of Olave Mandaara fame. The reason for this sudden change was because Bhavana suddenly fell ill and the doctors advised her to not face the arc lights. While the director wanted to wait till she recovered, it was Bhavana who encouraged her to look for another heroine.[4] The film made its theatrical release on 23 November 2012.

The movie received highly positive response both from the audience and from the critics. The critics lauded the movie for its stylish story telling, the performance of all the actors and theme of the movie. The times of India gave the movie 4 out of 5 and concluded saying "This movie is for those who want to know the life of underworld dons. Gripping narration and excellent screenplay with a touch of romance make the story quite interesting. Except for a few gunshots, there is not much violence in the story that keeps you on the edge of your seat till the end. The director has woven a romantic track brilliantly which ultimately shows its strength in the climax". The DNAIndia rated the movie 3.5/5 by concluding that "Take time off to watch the film, more so if you are tired of the same old formula films".
The movie is said to have set new standards of film making in the Kannada Film Industry and has attained a cult-classic status. Agni Shridhar considers this movie as the one close to his heart.

Police officers describe him as the “Dawood Ibrahim of Tamil Nadu”, as the state’s most wanted man, or simply as “Don Sridhar”. They say he is based in Dubai and runs a real estate mafia near Chennai worth at least Rs 500 crore. And, with at least 43 cases registered against him, including seven of murder, they have been on his trail for years. Now, in an exclusive online video interview with The Indian Express, his first to a mainstream publication, Sridhar Dhanapalan says he is ready to return to India and face legal proceedings if he is assured of a “fair trial”.
