Arkman seems to be showing no signs of slowing down. The singer begins 2016 with a thought-provoking video for his hit single Vanity.
"Vanity" is one of the more popular songs that rocked Sierra Leone in the last quarter of 2015. Arkman works outside his own box with this one. He delivers a powerful message with the song and his fans will be pleasantly surprised by the direction of this video.
It is an unexpected departure from anything we’ve seen from the talented artist till date. Directed by Muctar, Vanity does a spectacular job of merging an intriguing storyline with arresting visuals.

The 1980s pop star and model Denise Matthews, known by the stage name Vanity, died Monday at the age of 57. She battled years of kidney failure and a recent abdominal illness, according to TMZ.
Native to Canada, Matthews first found success as a model, but a fateful meeting at the American Music Awards in 1980 would help launch a singing career. Prince recruited the 21-year-old to become the lead singer of the R&B; girl group Vanity 6, whose biggest hit was 1982's "Nasty Girl." Vanity 6 toured with Prince in '82 and '83, before splitting up. Vanity then released two solo albums via Motown Records, 1984's "Wild Animal" and 1986's "Skin on Skin."
Vanity began work on a third solo album that did not come to fruition. She starred in the 1986 B-movie "Never Too Young to Die" and the 1988 action film "Action Jackson," for which she contributed to the soundtrack. But as Vanity's music career waned in the late '80s, she developed a crack-cocaine addiction. As a result, she nearly overdosed in 1994 and suffered near-fatal kidney damage. Matthews then converted to Christianity, abandoned her stage name and became an evangelist.
Matthews never again recorded music or appeared in films. She published a memoir, Blame It On Vanity, in 2010. TMZ reports that Matthews attended her regular church service on Saturday, where she told the congregation she was "ready to go home."

Vanity
Vanity is the excessive belief in one's own abilities or attractiveness to others. Prior to the 14th century it did not have such narcissistic undertones, and merely meant futility. The related term vainglory is now often seen as an archaic synonym for vanity, but originally meant boasting in vain, i.e. unjustified boasting; although glory is now seen as having an exclusively positive meaning, the Latin term gloria (from which it derives) roughly means boasting, and was often used as a negative criticism.
In religion and philosophy
In many religions, vanity, in its modern sense, is considered a form of self-idolatry, in which one likens their self to the greatness of God for the sake of their own image, and thereby becomes separated and perhaps in time divorced from the Divine grace of God. In Christian teachings vanity is considered an example of pride, one of the seven deadly sins.
Philosophically speaking, vanity may refer to a broader sense of egoism and pride. Friedrich Nietzsche wrote that "vanity is the fear of appearing original: it is thus a lack of pride, but not necessarily a lack of originality." One of Mason Cooley's aphorisms is "Vanity well fed is benevolent. Vanity hungry is spiteful."

Vanity 6
Vanity 6 was an R&B/funk female vocal trio assembled by American musician Prince in mid–1981.
Formation
In 1981, Prince, himself a rising musical star, suggested that his three female friends—his girlfriend Susan Moonsie, Boston native Brenda Bennett, and Jamie Shoup form a girl group that would be called "The Hookers". Prince's vision was that the three women would perform in lingerie and sing sensual songs with lyrics about sex and fantasy. Prince had been wanting to mentor a girl singer or group since the late–1970s when he saw the film A Star is Born with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.
The original trio recorded a few demos before Prince met Denise Matthews, a nude model and Canadian B movie actress, in January 1982. Prince was so taken by Matthews' charisma that he decided she would be the perfect frontwoman for his "Hookers" project. Around this time, Prince and Matthews began a romantic relationship. With Matthews' arrival, Shoup was dropped from the group. Matthews was eventually re-christened Vanity. Prince had originally suggested that Matthews use the stage name "Vagina" (to be pronounced /vaginɑ/); she declined and renamed herself "Vanity" instead. Other versions of the story suggest that it was Prince himself who coined the name "Vanity", as he said that looking at Matthews was like looking in a mirror at the female version of himself.

Ken Jeong
Kendrick Kang-Joh "Ken" Jeong (Korean: 정강조 Jeong Kang-jo, born July 13, 1969) is an American actor, comedian, and former physician. He is best known for his roles as Ben Chang on the critically acclaimed NBC/Yahoo! sitcom Community and gangster Leslie Chow in The Hangover Trilogy. He is currently the lead in the ABC sitcom Dr. Ken, for which he is also creator, writer, and executive producer.
Early life
Jeong was born in Detroit to South Korean immigrants, Young and Dong-Kuen Jeong. His father was a professor at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was raised in Greensboro and attended Walter Hines Page High School, where he took part in the High IQ team, played violin in the orchestra, and was elected to student council. He graduated at 16 and his achievements earned him Greensboro's Youth of the Year award. He completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University in 1990 and obtained his M.D. degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995.

Justin Trudeau
Justin Pierre James Trudeau PC MP (born December 25, 1971) is a Canadian politician who is the 23rd and current Prime Minister of Canada, as well as the Leader of the Liberal Party. The second-youngest Canadian prime minister after Joe Clark, he is also, as the eldest son of former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, the first child of a previous prime minister to hold the post.
Trudeau was born in Ottawa and attended Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf. He earned a BA in English literature from McGill University in 1994 and a BEd from the University of British Columbia in 1998. He gained a high public profile in October 2000, when he delivered a eulogy at his father's state funeral. After graduating, he worked as a teacher in Vancouver, British Columbia, then studied engineering, and began a master's degree in Environmental Geography. He used his public profile to advocate for various causes and acted in the 2007 TV miniseries The Great War.
After becoming more involved in politics after his father's death, Trudeau was elected in the 2008 federal election to represent the riding of Papineau in the House of Commons. In 2009, he was appointed the Liberal Party's critic for Youth and Multiculturalism and the following year became critic for Citizenship and Immigration. In 2011, he was appointed as critic for Secondary Education and Youth and Amateur Sport. Trudeau won the leadership of the Liberal Party in April 2013, and went on to lead his party to victory in the 2015 federal election, moving the third-placed Liberals from 36 seats to 184 seats, the largest-ever numerical increase by a party in a Canadian election.

The 1980s pop star and model Denise Matthews, known by the stage name Vanity, died Monday at the age of 57. She battled years of kidney failure and a recent abdominal illness, according to TMZ.
Native to Canada, Matthews first found success as a model, but a fateful meeting at the American Music Awards in 1980 would help launch a singing career. Prince recruited the 21-year-old to become the lead singer of the R&B; girl group Vanity 6, whose biggest hit was 1982's "Nasty Girl." Vanity 6 toured with Prince in '82 and '83, before splitting up. Vanity then released two solo albums via Motown Records, 1984's "Wild Animal" and 1986's "Skin on Skin."
Vanity began work on a third solo album that did not come to fruition. She starred in the 1986 B-movie "Never Too Young to Die" and the 1988 action film "Action Jackson," for which she contributed to the soundtrack. But as Vanity's music career waned in the late '80s, she developed a crack-cocaine addiction. As a result, she nearly overdosed in 1994 and suffered near-fatal kidney damage. Matthews then converted to Christianity, abandoned her stage name and became an evangelist.
Matthews never again recorded music or appeared in films. She published a memoir, Blame It On Vanity, in 2010. TMZ reports that Matthews attended her regular church service on Saturday, where she told the congregation she was "ready to go home."
