Sounds like an interesting future-of-the-world-and-technology read Dan and Tom.  I've heard Tom at the International Legal Technology Association and met Dan at the Boston KM Forum.  ILTA's Future Horizons initiative focuses on many of the same trends and changes, but focuses of course on legal services.  http://www.iltanet.org/MainMenuCategory/Future-Horizons

Introduction
I'm a lawyer and teacher working for a large law firm. I learn about new tools, train people on how they can benefit from the technologies we have, work with matter and case information, and find resources for people who need them.

On the side, I'm also an experienced and capable musician, on violin, viola, and voice.
