1. Why Do I need web hosting?
Every website is made up of two parts; a domain name, and web hosting. The domain name is just the name of your site, like "happyclouds.com" or "dogtraining.org."
Web hosting is the space on a server where you store the data for your domain... all your pages, pictures, videos, etc. The server then allows your website to be accessed worldwide.
Without web hosting, all you have is a name. Think of it like having a street address without a house. Web hosting is where you store the heart and soul of your site.
2. Which web hosting product is right for me?
If you want to use a web application to manage a database, create a shopping cart, or send out a podcast, check the program to see if it requires Windows or Linux-based hosting.
If you can't find the requirements, determine the coding language for the application. If you see the terms "mssql", ".ASP", "ASP.NET", or Coldfusion, purchase Windows hosting. If you don't see these terms, choose Linux hosting.
Once you've picked your operating system, you'll want to choose a hosting package. You can pick from Expert (Linux only) to Business Plus, to Unlimited Pro. The bigger your site or business, the bigger the web hosting package you should choose.
3. What comes with your web hosting products?
All of our web hosting packages come with unlimited disk space, unlimited bandwidth, and unlimited website hosting (ie: host as many websites as you'd like on one web hosting package).
Each web hosting package also comes with 2-15 dedicated IP addresses and 1-3 free domain registration points, depending on which web hosting package you choose.

4. How do I get started?
Once you purchase a web hosting package, there are a bunch of different ways you can get your web site started. Your choice should be based off of your website's size, type, and requirements. For instance, if you simply want a website hosted where you can post family pictures, you can use our Website Creator. However, if you want a large website with an online store, you may want to get some professional website design software.
Our web hosting control panel also makes it easy to install Wordpress, Joomla, and many other popular applications with only a few clicks.
You can also build your website using web design software such as Adobe Dreamweaver, Apple iWeb, or Microsoft Expressions.
5. What about email hosting?
We can do that too! Our web hosting dashboard allows you to set up multiple email addresses for each of your domain names. Email addresses can be accessed via POP or IMAP using any popular email program, such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, or Apple Mail.
Don't feel like setting up an email program? No problem! Our web hosting control panel comes with a free web-based mail client! Just log into your console and click your email address to view your mail.
Our webmail client also supports handy tools like auto-responders, email forwards, and mail list management.
6. What if I need help?

7. Can I check my website traffic?

Your web hosting control panel allows you to install several traffic monitoring applications with just a few simple clicks. We also allow installation of any supported 3rd party traffic monitoring program.
8. What if I already have a website hosted somewhere else?
No problem. If you'd like to transfer a website from another web host to our hosting services, give us a call. Our knowledgeable staff will give you all the instructions you'll need to move your data to our servers.
