Solid Gold may refer to:
Easy Action is the second studio album by Alice Cooper's band, released by Straight Records in March 1970. The title comes from a line in the musical film West Side Story, which was one of the band's favorite films. As with Pretties for You, the band's debut from the previous year, Easy Action was neither a commercial nor critical success.
Drummer Neal Smith later said of the record producer David Briggs, "David hated our music and us. I recall the term that he used, referring to our music, was 'Psychedelic Shit'. I think Easy Action sounded too dry, more like a TV or radio commercial and he did not help with song arrangement or positive input in any way." . None of Easy Action’s songs have ever been performed live by Cooper since the tour in support of their third album Love It to Death; in fact, only "Return of the Spiders" was performed on the tour for that album.
A small number of early U.S. copies were pressed on the blue Bizarre Records label. These copies carry the same catalog number WS-1845 and album cover as the regular Straight Records release.
"Solid Gold Easy Action" is a song by T. Rex, written by Marc Bolan. It was released as a single in 1972 and reached No. 2 in the UK Singles Chart. The song did not feature on an original studio album but was included on the 1972 Great Hits compilation album issued by EMI Records.
Whilst Solid Gold Easy action's musical style lays rooted in the Rock and roll of the 1950s, its lyrics are surrealistic and a typical example of Bolan's nonsense poetry. This song, like many of Bolan's hit singles, uses words such as "satisfaction" and "action", whilst mentioning predators such as foxes and tigers to give the song an undertone of sexuality. Combined with the rhythm and fast guitar strumming pattern on the song, Bolan creates an image of teenage sexual frustration that reflected the trends in contemporary popular culture. The break in the latter half of the song further emphasises this; "I know you're shrewd and she's a dude / But all I want is easy action" implying that the singer wants to have sex with the subject regardless of their gender and what others think about it.
The Fratellis are a rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Jon Fratelli (born John Lawler), bass guitarist Barry Fratelli (born Barry Wallace), and drummer and backing vocalist Mince Fratelli (born Gordon McRory). They are best known for their Top 10 hit singles "Chelsea Dagger" and "Whistle For The Choir".
The Fratellis have released four albums; Costello Music (2006), Here We Stand (2008), We Need Medicine (2013) and Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied (2015).
The band's name came from the criminal family in the Goonies. They played their first show on 4 March 2005 in the O'Henry's bar in Glasgow across the road from the Horseshoe bar, and received their first radio playing in 2005, on central Scotland's Beat 106 (later XFM Scotland, now Galaxy Scotland) Beatscene show hosted by Jim Gellatly. They were signed by Fallout Records.
The Fratellis EP was released on 3 April 2006, featuring the tracks "Stacie Anne" and "The Gutterati?". "Creepin' Up the Backstairs" was never a single released by the band, even though a video was made for it. It was not eligible for the charts. The first single released by the band was "Henrietta", which was released on 12 June 2006 and charted at number 19 on the UK Charts.

The Fratellis Solid Gold Easy Action, Enjoy!
This song by "T. Rex" was released in 1972 and made it to number 2 in the UK charts and it's one of my favourites by the late great "Marc Bolan" The first two lines of the song, "Life is the same and it always will be / Easy as picking foxes from a tree", appear to foreshadow Marc Bolan's own death in 1977. The license plate of the car Marc was in during the fatal collision was FOX 661L, it was found lodged in a sycamore tree after the accident and had to be removed, hmm it's a funny old world and just thought i would add this bit of information...

Every time you leave me
Go back in my mind and I find
Every time you held me
And I can't help this feeling inside
So...
Won't you thrill me now
Won't you fill me
I'm feeling so empty
I'll be your toy now
Won't you destroy me now
Then build me up again
Won't you thrill me now
Won't you fill me
I'm feeling so empty
I'll be your toy now
Won't you destroy me now
Then build me up again
Every time you need me
Why don't you come over and try to
Satisfy yourself in me
I can't help the pleasure I find
When...
You abuse me
Won't you just use me now
I'm feeling so happy, so
Won't you tease me
Just come and ease me now
Then give me up again
You amuse me
Won't you just use me now
I'm feeling so happy, so
Won't you tease me
Just come and ease me now
Then give me up again
Won't you fill me now
Won't you please...
Just amuse me...
Just... Just... Just...
Won't you thrill me now
Won't you fill me
I'm feeling so empty
I'll be your toy now
Won't you destroy me now
then build me up again
You abuse me
Won't you just use me now
I'm feeling so happy, so
Won't you tease me
Just come and ease me now
Then give me up again
Oh... won't you leave me again
Oh please, please
