Lifeguards have decided to close Cottesloe Beach until Thursday morning because of two shark sightings today.
The beach was closed and reopened twice today, after a three metre shark was spotted 400 metres offshore at 12.30pm and another shark spotted at 2.50pm.
Surf Life Saving WA confirmed the shark sighting after members of the public reported spotting a shark 40 metres off shore around 10am today.

Department of Fisheries issued a shark warning last Friday after two white sharks were detected in the Perth metropolitan waters.
Department of Fisheries and Cottesloe lifeguards urge people to keep out of the waters between Cottesloe Beach and Trigg Beach.
