Callum Mills. Rising Star.

Sydney's Callum Mills is the 2016 Rising Star.

As many expected, the Swans' young gun edged out Caleb Daniel (Western Bulldogs) to claim the title as the league's most promising young player.

No.1 draft pick Jacob Weitering (Carlton) finished third.

Darcy Parish (Essendon) and Darcy Moore (Collingwood) were next best.

Mills, who was nominated in Round 16, became the latest nominee to win the award.

He joined Adam Goodes (1999) and Daniel Hannebery (2010) as Sydney players to win the gong.
