George Murphy was one of the best song and dance men of the 1930's and early 40's. But he may have been the most important song and dance man in Hollywood history for another reason. It is claimed by some that he was the guy who convinced Ronald Reagan to enter politics. For this reason many today would like to have seen him either canonized or hung. Virginia Grey was mostly a Hollywood and TV actress who's career extended from the late 1920's all the way to the mid 1970's. But she was also a very good dancer and like George Murphy and Ronald Reagan a diehard conservative Republican. My how Hollywood has changed. I've included the entire number including the opening vocals and I think the dance scene which begins at about the 1:50 mark has a kind of nice easy flow to it.

Virginia Grey
Virginia Grey (March 22, 1917 – July 31, 2004) was a prolific American actress appearing in over 100 films and a number of TV shows from the 1930s through to the early-1980s.
Biography
Born in Edendale, California, Grey was the youngest of three daughters of the director Ray Grey. One of her early babysitters was movie star Gloria Swanson. Grey debuted at the age of 10 in the silent film Uncle Tom's Cabin (1927) as Little Eva. She continued acting for a few more years, but then left movies for three years in order to finish her education.
Grey gave up a training to be a nurse and returned to films in the 1930s with bit parts and work as an extra, and eventually signed a contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), appearing in several films, including The Hardys Ride High (1939), Another Thin Man (1939), Hullabaloo (1940), and The Big Store (1941).
She left MGM in 1942, and signed with several different studios over the years, working steadily. During the 1950s and 1960s, producer Ross Hunter frequently included Grey in his popular soap melodramas, such as All That Heaven Allows, Back Street and Madame X.

Virginia Grey (March 22, 1917 – July 31, 2004) was a prolific American actress appearing in over 100 films and a number of TV shows from the 1930s through to the early-1980s.
Born in Edendale, California, Grey was the youngest of three daughters of the director Ray Grey. One of her early babysitters was movie star Gloria Swanson. Grey debuted at the age of 10 in the silent film Uncle Tom's Cabin (1927) as Little Eva. She continued acting for a few more years, but then left movies for three years in order to finish her education.

Tarzan's New York Adventure Trailer - Directed by Richard Thorpe and starring Johnny Weissmuller, Maureen O'Sullivan, Johnny Sheffield, Virginia Grey, Charles Bickford. Circus owner Buck Rand kidnaps Boy to perform in his show. He forces a pilot to fly him, Boy and his animal trainer out of the jungle. Tarzan and Jane follow them to New York. At a trial over custody of Boy, Tarzan becomes violent and is jailed. With the help of the pilot's girlfriend Tarzan (who has since escaped, diving off the Brooklyn Bridge) finds the circus. He and the circus elephants complete the classic rescue.

Born in Edendale, California, Grey was the youngest of three daughters of the director Ray Grey. One of her early babysitters was movie star Gloria Swanson. Grey debuted at the age of 10 in the silent film Uncle Tom's Cabin (1927) as Little Eva. She continued acting for a few more years, but then left movies for three years in order to finish her education.

Virginia Grey (March 22, 1917 – July 31, 2004) was a prolific American actress appearing in over 100 films and a number of TV shows from the 1930s through to the early-1980s. Born in Edendale, California, Grey was the youngest of three daughters of the director Ray Grey. One of her early babysitters was movie star Gloria Swanson. Grey debuted at the age of 10 in the silent film Uncle Tom's Cabin (1927) as Little Eva. She continued acting for a few more years, but then left movies for three years in order to finish her education.
