The Joint may refer to:
The Joint is a Reggae music channel on Sirius XM Radio channel 42 and on Dish Network channel 6042. Sirius XM describes the channel as "Our Foundation Is The Roots" and primarily airs non-mainstream reggae artists. The Joint is one of the few "World" music channels on Sirius XM.
Until September 2008, The Joint was on XM channel 101 before moving to channel 95. On November 12, 2008, the channel replaced Reggae Rhythms, which was on Sirius, and in addition, it moved to its current channel position on the XM side. Mediabase still lists the channel as X101-FM. As of April 2009, The Joint has changed its logo from that which is shown above to the word "Joint" in all capital letters (except for the I) with a red, yellow, and green rainbow behind it. The logo also features a lion to the right of the word "Joint."
The station is named after a slang term for a cannabis cigarette, referring to the popularity of cannabis in Jamaica.
The Joint is a 4,000 seat showroom located inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Paradise, Nevada. This is a common venue for classic rock and modern rock bands in the Las Vegas Valley.
The versatility of the venue is demonstrated by its ability to host other events like the World Extreme Cagefighting and TNA Wrestling iMPACT!.
The Joint tends to book groups who traditionally favor arena types of venues.
Opened in 1995, The Joint was a 1,500 seat showroom with the ability to accommodate 2,000 people when seating was not provided.
Mötley Crüe closed the first incarnation of The old Joint in the final concert on February 7, 2009.
The new Joint doubled in size with 4,000 seats and opened on April 17, 2009, with a concert by Avenged Sevenfold.

A joint or articulation (or articular surface) is the location at which bones connect. They are constructed to allow movement (except for skull, sacral, sternal, and pelvic bones) and provide mechanical support, and are classified structurally and functionally.
Joints are mainly classified structurally and functionally. Structural classification is determined by how the bones connect to each other, while functional classification is determined by the degree of movement between the articulating bones. In practice, there is significant overlap between the two types of classifications.
Terms ending in the suffix -sis are singular and refer to just one joint, while -ses is the suffix for pluralization.
An articulate facet is generally seen as a small joint, especially used when speaking of the joints of the ribs.
Structural classification names and divides joints according to the type of binding tissue that connects the bones to each other. There are three structural classifications of joints:
A building joint is a junction where building elements meet without applying a static load from one element to another. When one or more of these vertical or horizontal elements that meet are required by the local building code to have a fire-resistance rating, the resulting opening that makes up the joint must be firestopped in order to restore the required compartmentalisation.
Such joints are often subject to movement, as a function of the building's design basis. For a sample certification listing indicating fire tested motion, click here. Firestops must be able to demonstrate the ability to withstand operational movement prior to fire testing. Firestops for such building joints can be qualified to UL 2079 -- Tests for Fire Resistance of Building Joint Systems.
Whether or not the building elements forming the joint have a fire-resistance rating, the joint design must still consider the anticipated operational movement of each joint. Timing is also important, as freshly poured concrete shrinks particularly during the first few months of a new building, potentially causing joint size changes.
Cannabis, also known as marijuana and by numerous other names, is a preparation of the Cannabis plant intended for use as a psychoactive drug or medicine. The main psychoactive part of cannabis is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC); it is one of 483 known compounds in the plant, including at least 84 other cannabinoids, such as cannabidiol (CBD), cannabinol (CBN), and tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV).
Cannabis is often consumed for its mental and physical effects, such as heightened mood, relaxation, and an increase in appetite. Possible side effects include a decrease in short-term memory, dry mouth, impaired motor skills, red eyes, and feelings of paranoia or anxiety. Onset of effects is within minutes when smoked and about 30 minutes when eaten. They last for between two and six hours.
Cannabis is mostly used recreationally or as a medicinal drug. It may also be used as part of religious or spiritual rites. In 2013, between 128 and 232 million people used cannabis (2.7% to 4.9% of the global population between the ages of 15 and 65). In 2015, almost half of the people in the United States have tried marijuana, 12% have used it in the past year, and 7.3% have used it in the past month.
Renegade may refer to: person who deserts and betrays an organization, country, or set of principles.
