What a game. For the third straight time between these two sides, it's decided by a solitary point. The Cowboys trailed for much of the contest, but they stormed home in the final 25 minutes or so and there can be no complaints about the victors here. Can these teams play every week? The massive talking point at the end will no doubt be Milford's shank - bizarre given he's calmly slotted so many field goals earlier in the year. But nevertheless, North Queensland take the win and Brisbane can hold their heads high in defeat.

He hit that with real power from 40m out - it would have been good from 55+ had it been on line - but it wasn't and it will be a seven tackle set and barring an error, a win for the Cowboys!

That would have been the game - Linnett stands in the tackle and pops the pass to his winger but it's forward. Good call there. Brisbane have just under two minutes to score!
Back to topMorgan kicks on the last, Nikorima comes up with it and is on the return when the five-eighth punches it out from behind and the Cowboys recover! It's their ball 10m out from the Brisbane line!
Milford shanks it wide!!
Good lord - that's one of the worst attempts you'll ever see! Granville knew he wasn't square at marker so didn't rush up and neither did anyone else so Milford had an attempt from 20m out, right in front with all the time in the world...and sliced it a good few metres wide!

Milford was shaping to take a shot for one from about 35m out, but he drops it cold! Cowboys play the ball from the spot of the error and barring a dropped ball of their own, should be in position to attempt a one-pointer.
Back to topMorgan's kick bounces off Alex Glenn and Blair comes up with it. Brisbane have it 30 out from their own line.
McCullough goes himself from dummy half and drops it!! He was over the line but couldn't get it down and when they looked nailed on for at least one point in that set, they get nothing - and the Cowboys will get a seven tackle set from the 20!
Scrum to Brisbane!! This is a huge call - they swing it left late in the count, Glenn offloads as he's being bundled over the sideline and while the ball is on the ground, Coote toes it over the sideline! I think he thought the flag was already up but it wasn't, so Brisbane have a scrum 10m out!
Morgan goes within a fingertip of breaking the deadlock!
Morgan gets it on the last, sees a gap and grubbers through to himself...he dives for it and it's sent up as a try - but the replays show he may have scraped the ball with a fingertip but he certainly didn't provide any downward pressure. Can Brisbane settle down here and get into position for a field goal (or something more)?

Brisbane go for a short restart! Reed leaps for it about 20 out from his own line but he can't take it cleanly and it will be a scrum - to be honest I can't fault them for trying that there, they desperately need to get the ball back. He copped a stray knee to the head from Alex Glenn to add insult to injury and will have to go off for a concussion test.
Last tackle, no thoughts of a field goal yet and Morgan dabs a grubber in behind which is batted dead by Kahu. It has been all Cowboys in the last ten minutes, can Brisbane cling on here?
Granville is cut down a yard out!!! Taumalolo splits them up the middle and finds the hooker in support but Reed saves the day - they then spread it right on the last but it's batted down by Glenn...six more for North Queensland!
