Fulltime at Allianz Stadium: MELBOURNE 46 SYDNEY ROOSTERS 0

MELBOURNE have scored their biggest ever win over reigning minor premiers Sydney Roosters, scoring 46 points and holding the tricolours scoreless for the first time.

The Storm led 18-0 at halftime at Allianz Stadium and then added 28 in the second half, with Suiliasi Vunivalu posting a hat-trick.

OPINION: These are tough times for the Sydney Roosters as Melbourne join the ranks of the competition favourites with a crushing performance.

76 min: Vulivalu try, Smith goal

After Cooper Cronk goes close, Suiliasi Vunivalu finds himself unmarked on the western touchline. The Roosters have never been kept scoreless by Melbourne and this is heading towards being the tricolours' worst loss at this ground. Smith from the sideline. Melbourne 46-0

67 min: Munster try, Smith goal

And after a stink between Mitch Aubusson and Marika Koroibete, the Storm race away and Cameron Munster gets a much-deserved touchdown. The conversion from Cameron Smith equals Melbourne's biggest ever win over the Tricolours. Smith goal. Melbourne 40-0

63 min: Cronk try, Smith goal

The Bunker confirms Cooper Cronk's ninth try of the season, darting over to the right of the posts. The on-field decision held sway as the video was not conclusive. The Roosters haven't made the progress we thought they had in recent weeks, apparently. Cameron Smith with the conversion. Sydney Roosters 34-0

59 min: Cronk try, Smith goal

The Terry Lamb of the modern era, Cooper Cronk, backs up down the middle and scores yet another Melbourne storm try which Cameron Smith duly converts. Melbourne 28-0

60 min: Blair try

This game seems to have died a death somewhat. the Storm are hammering the Roosters line and the tricolours are desperately holding out. Cheyse Blair launches himself at the line and scores his side's fourth. Smith was shooting for 100 points against the Roosters - and missed his conversion. Melbourne 22-0

A few minutes into the second half. Melbourne working their way back out of their own quarter. Melbourne 18-0

Halftime at Allianz Stadium: MELBOURNE 18 SYDNEY ROOSTERS 0

An amazing sideline conversion by Melbourne captain Cameron Smith was the highlight of a professional first-half performance by the Storm against the Roosters.

Three converted tries is a fair reflection of play so far but Smith made it onto some highlights reels when he converted Suliasi Vunivalu's second try from the eastern touchline despite landing on his backside as he struck the ball.

COMMENT: The Roosters are trying hard but they're just not at the races against a slick Storm

32 min: Proctor try, Smith goal

And after a near miss for the Roosters, Kevin Proctor hits a gap perfectly to the right of the posts. Cameron Smith with the conversion attempt....and it's there. Of course. Three from three. Melbourne 18-0

Blake Ferguson should have scored, coming up with a loose ball just a metre from the line, but failing to keep control of it. "Roosters lay eggs - you've just seen one there," said commentator Andrew Voss. Melbourne 12-0

19 min: Vunivalu try, Smith goal

And Vunivalu gets his second try in the north-eastern corner. There's a long-range swan dive. Cameron Smith manages to convert, despite falling over as he struck it! Amazing stuff and he's more amazed than anyone. Melbourne 12-0

8 min: Vunivalu try, Smith goal

Nine tries in seven games now for Suliasi Vunivalu after a long break from Ryan Morgan down the eastern side. Cameron Smith converts. Melbourne 6-0

Daniel Tupou makes an error on the first set after kick-off. Sydney Roosters 0 Melbourne 0

Not long til kick-off now, with 8000 to 9000 on hand

Fulltime at TIO Stadium, Darwin: PARRAMATTA 22 GOLD COAST 12

PARRAMATTA remain in the race for an unlikely finals appearance despite their salary cap penalty after outlasting Gold Coast in Darwin.

The Eels led by just four at halftime but were too strong for the Titans in stinking heat after the break.

COMMENT: Good to see the Eels getting back to the form they showed before the salary cap drama descended. The concussion rule will be questioned with Titans reduced to three reserves with an early hit to Chris McQueen.

73 min: Don try

Gold Coast not completely out of this with Anthony Don posing his second try in the right corner but Ashley Taylor cannot convert. Don had to do plenty to negotiate that narrow corridor over by the sideline. Parramatta 22-12

63 min: Gordon goal

And they're out by more than two converted tries now. Goal to Gordon from just to the left of the uprights. Brad Arthur will be pleased with the way his side has turned the screws in the second half. Bevan French is in first grade to stay, I'd say. Parramatta 22-8

59 min: Pritchard try, Gordon goal.

Pritchard backs up a mid-field break and darts away to score between the posts. That's after he got injured, and was then placed on report. Michael Gordon converts. Today's crowd is 7722. Parramatta 20-8
