Several people were left stranded on a roller coaster at Sea World on the Gold Coast as the ride's safety system was tripped on Friday.
It was believed the Storm Coaster ride stopped just before noon on Friday.
Photographs from the scene showed Sea World staff making their way up stairs to assist the passengers.
A spokesman for Village Roadshow Theme Parks, which owns Sea World, confirmed there had been a ride stoppage on the Storm Coaster but said the patrons on the ride were not trapped.

Neither Queensland Ambulance nor Queensland Fire and Emergency Services had been called to the scene at the time of reporting.
Sea World released a statement later on Friday revealing the ride's safety systems engaged after a sensor fault.

"Earlier today, guests on Sea World's Storm Coaster attraction were evacuated from the ride after a sensor fault occurred, leading to the ride's safety systems being engaged," the statement said.
"The safety and wellbeing of all of our guests is our top priority and our highly trained staff ensured the safest outcome was achieved, with the guests led down the stairs to ground level without incident.
"Similar to theme parks around the world, stoppages are part of ride operating systems which have rigid safety mechanisms in place."
The ride will be closed until the fault is cleared and operating checks are done.
