Arrowsmith's Australian Maps
Description
This study of the publication history of the Australian maps from John Arrowsmith’s London Atlas of Universal Geography (1834 – 1858) illustrates how the maps changed during a time of intense geographical exploration in many parts of the world. The maps show the range of data available on British exploration in Australia after nearly 50 years of British occupation.
