Truth be told, "BETTER THAN HOLLYWOOD " Series`24 N0.1 introductions I just mix a wonderful show from 2/9/2010 Live from the Terrace Lounge because it shows bugalu's teaching of education in motion, bugalu played with the very wonderful Joel Newton guitar and Lew Scott bass these guys play with deep soul and deep swing I love it! I'm so happy that Mr. Steve Habib talked about the audio and video quality being amazing this is because of my great compassion deep inside of me, that lets me feel what each the student needs to grow. each time you see a camera moves I bugalu had a class on that subject matter and as for mixing the sound the audio .Yes I bugalu had a class on mixing as well so when people take notice of all this yes it makes me very happy with a very deep gratitude for the gift of my life it's self to share with all people so with this said I give it all away to my students and the people in short I give this music to mankind Joel Newton guitar is a new friend for me I’ve known Joel Newton for about four years now And every time we play it just gets better he’s not afraid to use the full spectrum of sound on his guitar armed with great wisdom of the cords and the space that he is in, His inter play with the drums is second to non he uses colors of sound as he paints a canvas of sound mixed with the timing of the drums he just full of surprises moment to moment and big fun, to play with Lew Scott bass I’ve known Lew Scott for about 10 years now Lew Scott is what I call a perfect bass player steady in the way that he plays a groove he also has a very deep understanding of the cords and the roots that are in the cords so playing with both Joel Newton and Lew Scott and of course my drums makes for a very exciting show a must see show, so sit back and enjoy the show from 2/9/2010 Mr.Steve Habib wrote: "Truth Be Told",BETTER THAN HOLYWOOD,SERIES 24 #'s 1, 2, 3, and 4: I would like to make note here about the amazing quality of audio and video imaging that exists as MASTERS ANDREW GREENEY, KASAI RIDICK and CREW have put it together in such a way that all those intricate sounds coming from the drums,guitar,bass and piano can be heard as if you were sitting right in the center of the bandstand. His sound is so full and rich and his effortless playing comes about because of the INNER ENERGY being released from the inside. He actually has the ability to show his inner self through his dancing like body movements, movements of JOY and PEACE. Because of Marvin's LOVE of HUMANITY and his concerns for peoples' happiness, his musical sounds transfer to each players inner being. The result is the music you're hearing tonight on SERIES 24, 1,2,3 and 4. Joel Newton is such a harmonic and percussive player that you become captured within each cluster of notes as he NEVER PLAYS "OVER THE LISTENER'S HEAD". He considers everyone in the room starting with his fellow musicians. The inter-change between Joel and Lew Scott is so natural. Lew Scott is a very considerate player and a true SERVANT OF THE MUSIC. I performed with him for years in Hugh Brodie's Cosmic Ensemble. I can tell you first hand how rooted he is in the chords and mapping out the foundation of every song. No matter how far out a player wants to travel, Lew is always there to guide the listener back to THE ROOTS. I am truly moved by the great videography that has been taking place here and the co-ordination with the audio. SYNCOPATION is the key to the music tonight and the visuals and audio are syncopated right along,actually in the center of it all helping to bring the music much closer to the listener. WOW! They made me feel so up. They helped me realize how precious each moment of our life is and that each bar of music is so unique like each snow-flake that fell during the storm and each individual making up the music. Mr. Vernon Byron is a new guy on the scene here and after hearing him participate I enjoyed his playing and sensitivity.
