Minor Flood Warning for the Macquarie River

Issued at 4:36 pm EDT on Wednesday 5 October 2016
Flood Warning Number: 30

Minor flooding is expected to continue in the lower reaches of the Macquarie
River around Westmoor and Cressy Pumps, with levels easing slowly.

Since 9AM Wednesday, less than 2mm of rain has been recorded about the
catchment. No further significant rainfall expected until Sunday.

Strong and dangerous flows will remain a hazard throughout the Macquarie
catchment over the next few days.

Macquarie River above Mt Morriston:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River above Mt Morriston.

The Tooms Lake is currently at 4.60 metres and steady. Tooms Lake is expected
to remain around 4.60 metres during Wednesday.

The Macquarie River at Mount Morriston is currently at 0.78 metres and steady.

Macquarie River - Mt Morriston to Elizabeth River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Macquarie River - Mt Morriston to
Elizabeth River.

The Macquarie River at Ross is currently at 1.95 metres and falling. The
Macquarie River at Ross is expected to remain around the minor flood level
(2.00 m) during Thursday.

Elizabeth River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Elizabeth River.

The Lake Leake is currently at 5.28 metres and steady. Lake Leake will remain
above 5.20 metres during Wednesday into Thursday.

The Elizabeth River below Lake Leake is currently at 0.82 metres and falling.
The Elizabeth River below Lake Leake is expected to remain above the minor
flood level during Wednesday into Thursday.

Isis River:
River levels continue to ease in the Isis River.

Macquarie River - Elizabeth River to Lake River:
River levels are easing along the Macquarie River - Elizabeth River to Lake
River.

Lake River:
River levels continue easing in the Lake River.

Brumbys Creek:
River levels continue easing in the Brumbys Creek.

Macquarie River - Lake River to Longford:
Moderate flooding is easing along the Macquarie River - Lake River to Longford.

The Macquarie River above Westmoor was 4.04 metres and steady on Tuesday 04
October at around 4PM. The Macquarie River above Westmoor will remain above the
minor flood level during Thursday and into Friday.

The Macquarie River at Cressy Pumps is currently at 3.95 metres and steady. The
Macquarie River at Cressy Pumps will remain above the minor flood level (3.00
m) during Friday.
