    First actions against offshore gas in VIC: 'a group of activists were arrested this morning for disrupting the loading of seismic survey ship Geo Coral in Port of Corio, Geelong. The ship is enroute to explore for new gas & oil in the Otway Basin west of King Island'.

    Perfect job creator for the engineers and professionals who know how to transmit electricity around grids, not forgetting about all the construction people. Our economy would flourish just through tax paid on wages and money spent in our towns

    The climate crisis is worsening & the window for action narrowing. Yet the Morrison government still has no plan to rollout renewable energy. It's no replacement for a decent climate target but here's a simple thing they could do immediately: bring on legislation

    In a week which exposed the growing threat from climate change, today’s report showing continued decline in large-scale renewable energy investment in Australia is deeply concerning. Investment has fallen 29% on last year, 70% since the highs of 2018.

    Hear hear. The pure physics of reducing our emissions can be taken up by either the left or the right - it's the values we infuse the task with that are crucial. Climate justice must be baked in at every step.

    Me on why climate activists should give a sh*t about workers rights. Like, if I can't dance, it's not my revolution. If we don't get gender equality and secure jobs too, I'm not interested in 100% renewable Thks 4 having me

    This is significant. Angus Taylor’s attempt to gut the Australian RENEWABLE ENERGY Agency is illegal and must be opposed.

    Very telling statements from Gov’s own ppl in Scrutiny of Delegated Leg report tabled tonight: that Gov’s instrument to force ARENA to invest in coal, oil & gas is possibly beyond the scope of its head Act (ie unlawful!), & may be too similar to Gov’s last failed attempt!
