In August 2016 we wrote about Ted Yoder, a truly talented hammer dulcimer player, who performed a seemingly flawless version of the Tears for Fears song “Everybody Wants to Rule the World“. As a result of the incredible popularity of this performance, singer Curt Smith and drummer Jamie Wollam traveled to Yoder’s Arkansas home where all three musicians performed the song together. Rickie the raccoon made an impromptu appearance as well.

Hello Neighbor is an upcoming stealthy horror game, created by tinyBuild GAMES, where you play a suspicious individual who sneaks into their neighbor’s house to figure out what kind of secrets they are hiding in their basement. The advanced AI villain (your neighbor) will actually learn from your actions and try to either catch you or set traps accordingly to keep you from digging up the skeletons in their closet. Hello Neighbor is currently scheduled to release in Summer 2017.

Hello, Neighbor is a brand new first-person tactical puzzler with Artificial Intelligence as an opponent. We think that modern games lack the deployment of Artificial Intelligence, therefore we decided to change the situation and create a truly smart opponent who will be able to learn by himself, study the player’s tactics, undertake counter-actions, remember the player’s decisions, and make plans. The mysterious and unpredictable game plot will make it fun trying to unveil the secrets of the game.

On an early episode of his eponymous show, the affable Fred Rogers of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood broke the fourth wall to introduce the musicians who played his opening theme along with all other incidental music on the show. Johnny Costa played piano, Carl McVicker Jr played double bass and Bobby Rawsthorne played drums all of whom were known as Johnny Costa Trio, which was an integral part of the show for a very long time.

This episode is about music and Mr. Rogers introduces his musicians, John Costa (Piano), Carl McVicker Jr. (Bass), and Bobby Rawsthorne (Drums).

Mohammad Alaa Jaleel, an incredibly brave and compassionate man who lives in the Masaken Hanano neighborhood of war-torn Aleppo, Syria, has taken it upon himself to care for the increasing number of cats who have been left behind by families fleeing for safety. Alaa has set up a small sanctuary named “La Casa Dei Gatti Ernesto“, a place where the cats can feel safe and be fed. Not only does this amazing man take care of the abandoned cats, but his day job as a paramedic has him taking care of anyone who needs his help, especially children. Because of his big heart, Alaa has gained a great many admirers, including some who rightfully want to nominate him for a Nobel Prize.

Mohammad Alaa Aljaleel, Il Gattaro di Aleppo, lives in Aleppo – Syria. Despite being in the middle of an atrocious war he didn’t lose his humanity and his love for other creatures. Mohammad is a civilian and a paramedic, he drives and ambulance providing first aid and transporting injured people: he risks his life while the area is bombarded just to help creatures in need. On top of this, in his spare time he also looks after animals and has opened a rescue place for cats in Syria called “Ernesto – the house of cats” (in Italian: la casa dei gatti Ernesto). At the moment his rescue place counts more than 170 cats plus few dogs, and thanks to his Facebook group “Il Gattaro di Aleppo”, Alaa has friends from all over the world: Europe, Australia, US, Israel and so on…all united to help him in his great mission of helping people in need, widows, children and helpless animals. We are a group of friends from all over the world, believing that Alaa deserves the Nobel Peace Prize because with everything he does and his huge, pure heart he is an example for all of us. The City of Segrate (Milan, Italy) has officially launched the candidacy of Mohammad Alaa Aljaleel, sending the proposal to the Nobel Prize Office.

After 79 years of serving customers at their familiar storefront on 7th Avenue in New York City, the owner of the legendary Carnegie Deli announced that she would be closing on December 31, 2016. The restaurant first opened its doors in 1937 right across the street from its namesake Carnegie Hall primarily serving traditional New York Jewish deli fare with a side of attitude and has appeared in a number of films, including the Woody Allen film Broadway Danny Rose. In an interview with The New York Post, owner Marian Harper Levine about what led to the closure.

At this stage of my life, the early mornings to late nights have taken a toll, along with my sleepless nights and grueling hours that come with operating a restaurant business. I’m very sad to close the Carnegie Deli but I’ve reached the time of my life when I need to take a step back

The relationship we have with robots/AI that have been created to enhance our performance, but have become a source of learning, is unique and exciting. The android’s place in ociety has not yet been defined and remains to be determined; for me it is the best source of inspiration.
