This mum's photos of life with triplets will bring you joy

While it's important to share the hardships that come with parenting - especially when there are multiples involved - it's also wonderful to balance it out with acknowledgment of the joy children can bring.

One mother has done just this by photographing her family of six children, which includes a set of triplets and a set of twins.

Her work focuses mainly on the triplets as babies and toddlers, and are an ethereal and happy glimpse into a world containing three little girls the same age.

Posting her beautiful images on Bored Panda, Adelaide photographer Lucia Staykov writes, "Having triplets is a blessing! It is a lot of work, but so worth every second."

"There are a few challenges on the way, but we wouldn't have it any other way. I am a busy mum of six. A boy, twin boys and triplet girls. Yes, in that order."

Your first thought might be complete wonder that she manages to get such amazing shots of so many children, so we asked Lucia how she does it.

"A lot of the time they are only still for a second, as all kids tend to be. You just have to be quick to get that shot," she said.

"We do play games and dress ups, so the girls think it's fun. Sometimes there's a reward if they listen well, but most times, I just catch them at play and direct them slightly," she said, admitting that her three girls are much more into the process than her three boys.

She also says that preparation is key.

"Before each shoot I like to prepare the scene, lighting and the clothes, and to have an idea of what I would like the outcome to look like. Also the kids need to be in a good mood, fed, and not tired."

"Working with kids is a lot of fun, but you definitely need patience."

It's a remarkable and rare family make-up, and the most wonderful opportunity for a photographer to capture the beauty and joy of multiples.

Lucia goes on to say, "When we found out we were having triplets after already having three boys, we couldn't believe it. But it has turned out to be a wonderful ride."

"I started taking photos with my first camera about three years ago. I am so glad I did. Now I have beautiful picture memories of my kids growing up - here's a glimpse into the life of triplets."

Lucia runs Adelaide-based photography business Child Expressions and posted the photos with captions that expressed the varied and wonderful things that triplets can be.

We've posted some of them in the gallery above and just dare you not to be caught up in the sweetness of them.
