The Ural Mountains (Russian: Ура́льские го́ры, tr. Uralskiye gory; IPA: [ʊˈralʲskʲɪjə ˈgorɨ]; Bashkir: Урал тауҙары), or simply the Urals, are a mountain range that runs approximately from north to south through western Russia, from the coast of the Arctic Ocean to the Ural River and northwestern Kazakhstan. The mountain range forms part of the conventional boundary between the continents of Europe and Asia. Vaygach Island and the islands of Novaya Zemlya form a further continuation of the chain to the north into the Arctic Ocean.
The mountains lie within the Ural geographical region and significantly overlap with the Ural Federal District and with the Ural economic region. They have rich resources, including metal ores, coal, precious and semi-precious stones. Since the 18th century the mountains have contributed significantly to the mineral sector of the Russian economy.

Bashkortostan is one of the most beautiful regions of Russia with famous Ural Mountains, rocks, woods and rivers. Our special expedition featuring Suzuki Jimny, upgraded for an off-road rides by our friend Alexey Tikhonenko, traveled about 200km south-east off Ufa, Russia that to get into The Mambet Rock and Zilim River. It is located in 30km far from Tolparovo, closest little village where only about 50-60 of indigenous Bashkir people are living and where even mobile networks are not available. Those last 30km from Tolparovo to The Mambet Rock went through the gravel, dirt and river flows. Meanwhile of our travel to The Mambet Rock, together with Alexey Tikhonenko, we also participated in one of the stages of the “Territory of the Secret” game. It’s a special game of the community of ...

Siberia is an extensive geographical region, and by the broadest definition is also known as North Asia. Siberia has been historically part of Russia since the seventeenth century. The territory of Siberia extends eastwards from the Ural Mountains to the watershed between the Pacific and Arctic drainage basins. Siberia stretches southwards from the Arctic Ocean to the hills of north-central Kazakhstan and to the national borders of Mongolia and China. With an area of 13.1 million square kilometres, Siberia accounts for 77% of Russia's land area, but it is home to just 40 million people – 27% of the country's population. Tyumen was the first Russian settlement in Siberia. Founded in 1586 to support Russia's eastward expansion, the city has remained one of the most important industrial and economic centers east of the Ural Mountains. Located at the junction of several important trade routes and with easy access to navigable waterways, Tyumen rapidly developed from a small military settlement to a large commercial and industrial city. The central part of Old Tyumen retains many historic buildings from throughout the city's history. Today Tyumen is an important business center. Tyumen is the transport hub and industrial center of Tyumen Oblast—a vast oil-rich region stretching from the Kazakhstani border to the Arctic Ocean—as well as the home of many companies active in Russia's oil and gas industry.
In March we'd traveled to Tyumen city. Tyumen is a small, but modern Russian city located in the east of Ural mountains. Quadcopter had damaged, so we didn't shoot aerial view. Music: MagikStudio - Happy Rock Plastic3 - Hard Rock Sport Dance

In 1991, the appearance of extremely tiny, coil-shaped artifacts found near the banks of Russia’s Kozhim, Narada, and Balbanyu rivers brought about a debate that has continued to this day. These mysterious and minuscule structures suggest that there may have been a culture capable of developing nanotechnology 300,000 years ago. These manufactured coils were initially discovered during geological research associated with the extraction of gold in the Ural mountains. These pieces include coils, spirals, shafts, and other unidentified components. Author and investigative researcher Keith McCloskey discusses what happened to the nine well-trained skiers & hikers who lost their lives in the mysterious "Dyatlov Pass Incident," which took place in Russia's northern Ural mountains in 1959 (view related photos). The autopsy reports claimed the victims' violent injuries were due to "an unknown compelling force." Something or someone caused the group to flee from their tent in panic, as they used knives to slash their way out, and headed out into subzero temperatures insufficiently clothed, most of them without shoes. Their bodies were eventually found on a mountain slope known as Kholat Syakhl which translates as "Mountain of the Dead," McCloskey recounted.
