Concept plans and drawings have been unveiled for a pair of buildings at Perth's Elizabeth Quay - housing a new hotel, apartments and commercial spaces.
The construction project with an estimated $300m value will see two towers built with architect Kerry Hill leading the design and developers CA & Associates and Fini Group driving construction.
The release of the concept designs comes after the State Government confirmed the $85 million sale of two lots on the quay's western promenade.
After an international design competition, Kerry Hill's designs were chosen for two towers comprising about 300 residential and 170 short-stay apartments, a hotel and a range of dining and retail spaces.
"I would like to congratulate Kerry Hill and his team on their approach to design which maximises public access via walkways, a ground-floor plaza, art museum and viewing deck; features that will be enjoyed by the millions of annual visitors to our city," said WA Planning Minister Donna Faragher.
"Elizabeth Quay was always intended to showcase Perth on a national and international stage and these attractions offering sweeping views of Kings Park, the Swan River and Rottnest Island will go a long way to achieving that objective."
CA & Associates plan to submit a version of the design for development approval.
