Pima County /ˈpiːmə/ is a county in the south central region of the U.S. state of Arizona. As of the 2010 census, the population was 980,263, making it the second-most populous county in Arizona. The county seat is Tucson, where nearly all of the population is centered. The county is named after the Pima Native Americans who are indigenous to this area.
Pima County comprises the Tucson, AZ Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Pima County contains parts of the Tohono O'odham Nation, as well as all of the San Xavier Indian Reservation, the Pascua Yaqui Indian Reservation, Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Ironwood Forest National Monument and Saguaro National Park.
The vast majority of the county population lies in and around the city of Tucson (2011 city population: 525,796), filling much of the eastern part of the county with urban development. Tucson, Arizona's second largest city, is a major commercial and academic center. Other urban areas include the Tucson suburbs of Oro Valley (population 41,335), Marana (population 35,232), Sahuarita (population 25,458), and South Tucson (population 5,695), a large ring of unincorporated urban development, and the growing satellite town Green Valley. The rest of the county is sparsely populated; the largest towns are Sells, the capital of the Tohono O'odham Nation, and Ajo in the far western region of the county.
Arizona (i/ɛrɪˈzoʊnə/; /ærɪˈzoʊnə/) (Navajo: Hoozdo Hahoodzo; O'odham: Alĭ ṣonak) is a state in the southwestern region of the United States. It is also part of the Western United States and of the Mountain West states. It is the sixth largest and the 14th most populous of the 50 states. Its capital and largest city is Phoenix. Arizona is one of the Four Corners states. It has borders with New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, California, and Mexico, and one point in common with the southwestern corner of Colorado. Arizona's border with Mexico is 389 miles (626 km) long, on the northern border of the Mexican states of Sonora and Baja California.
Arizona is the 48th state and last of the contiguous states to be admitted to the Union, achieving statehood on February 14, 1912. It was previously part of the territory of Alta California in New Spain before being passed down to independent Mexico and later ceded to the United States after the Mexican–American War. The southernmost portion of the state was acquired in 1853 through the Gadsden Purchase.
The Pima County Fair is a funfair that happens every year. The Pima County Fair runs for 11 days in the month of April. It features live animal shows, concerts, carnival rides, vendors and hundreds of local groups perform every year. The Pima County Fair is one of the most popular attractions in Tucson, Arizona.
According to historian David Leighton, of the Arizona Daily Star newspaper, the first Pima County Fair was held from October 25–28, 1911. The Tucson Chamber of Commerce and the Pima County Fair Commission chose the Elysian Grove amusement park (located about where Carrillo School, south of the Tucson Convention Center is now at) as the location for the first fair. Elysian Grove consisted of two parts, the fields which were in the open and the pavilion which had a roof over it. The pavilion held three rows of booths that where rented by local Tucson businesses and also held displays of various items, as well as contests. During the four-day event there was a high school football game between Tucson High School and Phoenix High School, numerous animal exhibitions such as a stock show, dog show and poultry show as well as many displays put on by local educational institutions.
"County Fair" is a song written by Brian Wilson and Gary Usher for the American rock band The Beach Boys. It was originally released as the second track on their 1962 album Surfin' Safari. On November 26 of that year, it was released as the B-side to The Beach Boys' third single, "Ten Little Indians". The same single was released in the UK in January 1963.
The melody of "County Fair" was later recycled into the song "I Do".
"County Fair" was the second song Brian Wilson and Gary Usher wrote together. In the song, the singer takes his girlfriend to the county fair, where she leaves him for a stronger man; one who can ring the bell on a high striker game. The song culminates in the tag, as the girl leaves the singer, calling him a loser. The song is in verse-chorus form, though the choruses consist of spoken-word narration of the girlfriend and a carnival barker over an organ melody.
"County Fair" was recorded by The Beach Boys on September 6, 1962, during the last recording session for their first album, Surfin' Safari. Nik Venet produced the session at Capitol Studios.

Fleet of the Pima County Sheriff's Department Rincon District station. Special thanks to the station! :) I didn't took as many pictures as usual because we were in a hurry to visit Sabino Canyon (and we made it just in time!). I have to admit that they have a beautiful fleet (except for the Prius, I was like "huh?!" when I saw those haha)! Unfortunately I haven't got more pictures of the Hummer which was from the Search and Rescue Team and had no emergency lights & siren on it as far as I checked it out. Serious Vote Fraud at the Pima County Recorder's office in Tucson, Arizona. Here is what they are doing. They are copying voter registration cards and changing the party preference and date and saying that you mailed in a second registration card when in fact you did not. At first she tried to tell me that I mailed in a second card and changed from a DEM to No Party. Of course I did not! Then she changes her story to say it is a glitch in the computer then she says that it's an error. TOTAL FRAUD IF THIS HAPPENED TO YOU...YOU MUST GO TO THE PIMA COUNTY RECORDER'S OFFICE AND PHYSICALLY HAVE IT CHANGED OR THEY WILL NOT COUNT YOUR PROVISIONAL BALLOT
