Here's a custom way to make your tail light / brake lights electrical project stand out from all the rest easily and affordably.
The 2 diodes I used are rated at 5 amp - model # in5004
The resistors are available here:

Installed 4 strings of LED crazy lights on the back of the crown molding in the tray of our sunrooom. These are awesome for the money. Comes with a power supply and a controller that has 132 different patterns on it. Just stuck them to the back side of the crown molding with some 3M double sided tape. You can get these from a company called ledlightshack.com.

They are small and simple to use. They easily clip on to her collar or even on her leash. They are bright and easy to see. With 3 different modes: solid, fast flash, and slow flash you can set it to your needs. They are water resistant as well. It is a little hard at first to get the device open to change the battery if you need to. You definitely need finger nails or some strength to get it apart. I really like the ZoroPlan Clip On Dog Safety Lights. Having a dark colored dog which I walk at night sometimes, having these lights really makes it easier to be seen with her. They are small and simple to use. They easily clip on to her collar or even on her leash. They are bright and easy to see. With 3 different modes: solid, fast flash, and slow flash you can set it to your needs. They are water resistant as well.
It is a little hard at first to get the device open to change the battery if you need to. You definitely need finger nails or some strength to get it apart. But after changing them a few times it does get easier.
Using ours regularly I find myself changing the battery once every 4-6 weeks in one. Luckily there are 4 of them so I just grad a new one and then change the batteries all at one time and start over again.
Overall not a bad product.

You can make this as bright (or not) as you like by adding lights to suit your own setup. The bracket is large enough to accommodate several lights. Obviously you can weld your own bracket and make things look MUCH nicer, but I chose to demonstrate this method because it uses the parts and tools that are easiest to find, and the build was as basic as it gets. No drilling, no welding, no crazy fabrication... just a hacksaw, a file, and something to hold it in place for some bends.
As I mentioned, this build featured function over form, so there's a lot left to be done to make this mod perform AND look awesome... but that's for another video. Enjoy!
