The official website of the company has since also been updated with a tease about an upcoming unveiling of the next generation SSC Ultimate which SSC implied could break the new Bugatti record. As an interesting sidenote a new Supercar named Dagger GT, said to be in the final development stages and scheduled to be introduced in early 2011 by an American Racecar-Engineering Company is also expected to "join the rivalry" for the title of the World's fastest street-legal production car.
As of Dec 5th 2010 SSC website states " ... SSC's yet-to-be-named "Next Generation" supercar. For the time being, the details of this project are top secret, but what we can tell you is this: The Next Generation supercar from SSC ups the ante on ALL levels. "
