Greater Western Giants veteran Steve Johnson will play on for one more year after signing a contract extension at the club.
The former Cat announced his re-signing at the Giants grand final lunch on Wednesday afternoon.

The Swans start in a hurry and cruise past Geelong while in Sydney the Bulldogs win one of the all time great preliminary finals against GWS to reach their first grand final since 1961.
Johnson missed Saturday's six-point preliminary final loss to the Western Bulldogs through the one-game suspension he copped two weeks prior in the win over Sydney.
The Match Review Panel handed Johnson a one-week suspension for a high bump on Josh Kennedy.
Johnson initially signed a one-year deal to play with the GWS in season 2016, with an option to extend his stay at the club in either a playing or coaching capacity.
He kicked 43 goals for the club and played an influential role up forward.
