Video instalment number two from my latest trip to Bali, Indonesia. We spent a week on Nusa Lembongan (a 30 minute fast boat ride from Sanur) and explored the island, as well as its neighbouring island, Nusa Ceningan. Scooters were the main type of transportation on the island (there are no cars except for a few pick up trucks used to take people to and from accommodations), so we hired one for the week and set out to see both islands as much as we could! Highlights from Lembongan and Ceningan for me were snorkelling at Mangrove Point and eating at local warung Nano Nano; the Blue Lagoon on Nusa Ceningan; and Secret Point Beach on Nusa Ceningan. I'll be writing up some travel tips and recommendations up on the blog on Lembongan and Ceningan soon, so stay tuned for those over at http://...
A great cliff jumping spot can be found on Nusa Ceningan, the island connected to Nusa Lembongan by a suspension bridge. The best cliff jumping spots are found at Mahana Point on the South West of the Island next to the Blue Lagoon. We are usually up for cliff jumps but decided against the two jumps on the day as the tide was coming in, making it difficult to return safely to shore.
Nusa Lembongan is a lovely tropical island, measuring only four by three km and ringed with mangrove swamps, palms and white sandy beaches. No hawkers venture over here, nor are there cars to spoil the idyllic atmosphere and scenery. There are just two villages on Nusa Lembongan: Lembongan Village and Jungut Batu Village, with a total of 5,000 inhabitants. There is motorcycle traffic between the two villages and it is easy to get a bike ride for a couple of thousand Rupiahs. There is a suspension bridge between Lembongan and Celingan, used by pedestrians and motor bikes. The inhabitants' main occupations are fishing and seaweed farming, though some make a living with their boats, ferrying divers or surfers to their chosen destinations around the island, then making the return journey at ...

What to see and do on Nusa Lembongan Island, Indonesia? This video features the best of Nusa Lembongan Island and a 2-day itinerary. Nusa Lembongan Island is a super-chilled out tropical paradise only a 30-minute boat ride from Bali. It's got gorgeous blue-turquoise water, dreamy white sand beaches and boutique bungalows. There are no cars around; just motorbikes, bicycles, small converted pick-ups and golf carts. There's some superb snorkeling and scuba diving on Nusa Lembongan - including the possibility of seeing some manta rays. There's also surfing, stand-up paddle boarding; kayaking in the mangroves; and even cliff jumping. It's easy and cheap to rent a scooter and ride around the island. The whole island is only a few kilometers long. From Nusa Lembongan Island you can easily get ...
