Kingsbridge is a market town and tourist hub in the South Hams district of Devon, England, with a population of 6,116 at the 2011 census. Two electoral wards bear the name of Kingsbridge (East & North). Their combined population at the above census was 4,381. It is situated at the northern end of the Kingsbridge Estuary, a ria that extends to the sea six miles south of the town. It is the third largest settlement in the South Hams, following Ivybridge, the largest, and Totnes.
The town formed around a bridge which was built in or before the 10th century between the royal estates of Alvington, to the west, and Chillington, to the east, hence giving it the name of Kyngysbrygge ("King's bridge"). In 1219 the Abbot of Buckfast was granted the right to hold a market there, and by 1238 the settlement had become a borough. The manor remained in possession of the abbot until the Dissolution of the Monasteries, when it was granted to Sir William Petre. Kingsbridge was never represented in Parliament or incorporated by charter, the local government being by a portreeve. It lay within the hundred of Stanborough.
A primary school or elementary school is a school in which children receive primary or elementary education from the ages of about five to eleven, coming before secondary school and after preschool. It is the first stage of compulsory education in most parts of the world, and is normally available without charge, but may be offered in a fee-paying independent school. The term grade school is sometimes used in the US though this term may refer to both primary education and secondary education.
The term primary school is derived from the French école primaire, which was first used in 1802.
In the United States, "primary school" may refer to a school with grades Kindergarten through second grade (K-2). In these municipalities, the "elementary school" includes grade three through five. The terms first school or infant school may also be used in North America though these, strictly speaking, refer to different educational programs.

Welcome to part 3 (aka the final installment) of our Tasmania Adventure! I really hope you've enjoyed following us as we travelled around the gorgeous Australian State. In this part we started with breakfast (and second breakfast) at the Salamanca Markets. Then we were off to the MONA MOFO Festival, and it was AMAZING - highlight of the trip so far. Hobart is a pretty cool little town. The following day was spent at Port Arthur, an old convict settlement about 1.5 hours away from Hobart. It was abslutley fascinating and another amazing day out. We had dinner that night at Pancho Villa - and it was the best Mexican food I've had outside LA. Our last day was spent driving north from Hobart back to Launceston where we started our trip. We stopped at Freycinet National Park and climbed t...

http://www.eaglevideo.co.uk When planning a trip to South East England, you should visit Canterbury and the Cathedral for a taste of British history. Eagle Video Productions has now created unique aerial footage using the EagleCam drone, which is a flying video camera, for tourists wishing to visit Canterbury to get a "birds eye view" of the Cathedral. The camera is able to show close up shots of the upper levels of the Cathedral, flying close to the stained glass windows and gliding through the building, and past the Cathedral Choir, where you can see them singing the beautiful Steal Away. The choir consists of 25 boy choristers between the ages of eight and thirteen, and 12 lay clerks. There has been a choir at Canterbury Cathedral for 1400 years. The camera then flies outside, up th...
