West Coast Eagle Josh Kennedy's Brownlow drinking game wins over Twitter

West Coast Eagle star forward Josh Kennedy appeared to be making the most of the sometimes tedious Brownlow count on Monday night, downing a beer each time he polled a vote.

The two-time Coleman medallist's apparent 'drinking game' caught the attention of social media users across Australia who tuned into watch Geelong's Patrick Dangerfield win the Brownlow medal.

Eagles forward Josh Kennedy's unique take on celebrating his Brownlow Medal votes.

Kennedy polled 17 votes in seven games including four best on ground performances.

For anyone playing at home, that's a fair few middys, and other players and partners on his table - along with the Twittersphere - clearly enjoyed the show.

Kennedy played down the drinking game on Radio 6PR on Tuesday, telling the breakfast show he was just enjoying his night.

"There was no [drinking] rule, I was just enjoying the beers, they were going down nicely and Schoey [Will Schofield] was egging me on a bit," he said.

"We had a babysitter up in the room with the little bubs so we were able to let our hair down a bit."

Kennedy looked a bit worse for wear after the two votes he polled in Round 23.

But he'll be thankful he was drinking for Brownlow votes and not for every goal he kicked this year (80).
