Holliday Grainger went cold turkey when she first turned vegan, because it was the only way she could kick her meat habit.
Actress Holliday Grainger would love to raid Cate Blanchett's wardrobe.
Holliday has become known for her on-trend ensembles away from the camera and often dazzles on the red carpet in designer gear. If she had her own way for the day, the 28-year-old knows exactly whose closet she'd explore.
"I'd raid Cate Blanchett's wardrobe," she grinned to Britain's Hello! Monthly Fashion magazine. "I'm so not into shopping but I'd love to get access to her clothes. She has this casual ease about her - in fact, all the wardrobe from her film Carol would be nice because everything was gorgeous!"
One go-to outfit from Holliday's dream day would be high-waisted jeans with a red lip, giving off a Parisian chic style vibe as seen on stars such as the late Audrey Hepburn.
Another subject broached during the interview was that of diet, with Holliday sharing her ideal breakfast and lunch from her perfect day.
"I'd have avocado on toast for breakfast at The Butcher's Daughter in New York City or Los Angeles," she continued. "They add coriander to their guacamole and it's delicious.
"I'd eat a good vegan lunch. I became vegan for environment reasons after watching Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret on Netflix. I was a full-on meat-eater, so I went cold turkey. I'd go to Cafe Gratitude in Venice Beach or back to Bangkok because they ferment their own tempeh and it's the best I've had."
To top things off, Holliday would throw a big party, and has an idea of who would be on the guest list. In fact, the flame-haired actress is such a fan of singer Justin Bieber that his music is on repeat in her house at the moment.
"We'd probably play some Sorry, but I'd have Sylvan Esso on too," she added. "It would be well deserved after a day doing yoga or hiking with some of my mates."
