Marianne Florence Scott is a retired Canadian librarian and educator. She has held several positions in her career, the most notable being the third National Librarian of Canada (NLC). She was not only the first woman to be appointed to the position but also the first professionally educated librarian to hold the post.
Marianne F. Scott was born in Toronto, Canada on December 4, 1928 to Merle Redvers and Florence Ethel Scott. Marianne Scott studied at McGill University earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1949 and a Bachelor of Library Science in 1952. From 1952 to 1955, Scott was an Assistant Librarian at the Bank of Montreal. She was employed at McGill University from 1955 to 1984, serving as law librarian from 1955 to 1973, lecturer in the Faculty of Law from 1964 to 1975, and Director of Libraries 1975 to 1984. She was the co-founder of the Index to Canadian Legal Periodical Literature, the first volume was published in 1963. Marianne Scott was the first President of the Canadian Association of Law Libraries, which became a formal association on July 5, 1963.

Joseph Bottoms (born April 22, 1954) is an American actor who won the 1975 Golden Globe Award for New Star Of The Year - Actor for his role in The Dove. He is also perhaps best known for his roles in the television mini-series Holocaust and Disney's The Black Hole.
Bottoms made his screen debut in the ABC television movie Trouble Comes to Town. A year later he played the role of Robin Lee Graham, in The Dove, a real-life story about a teenager sailor's voyage around the world. Bottoms won the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actor, joining a host of other actors that have won the award such as Richard Burton, Robert Redford, Dustin Hoffman, Jon Voight and later Ben Kingsley.
In the 1978 mini-series Holocaust, he starred as Rudi Weiss, a German Jew who joins the Jewish partisans. The series was well-received, winning the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Miniseries.
A year later he starred in The Black Hole, a science fiction film that grossed over $35 million at the US box office. In 1981, he made his Broadway debut in Fifth of July. The play made its Broadway debut at the New Apollo Theatre on November 5, 1980, directed by Mason with Daniels reprising the role of Jed, Christopher Reeve as Ken and Swoosie Kurtz as Gwen. Replacement actors for the role of Ken included Richard Thomas, Michael O'Keefe, Timothy Bottoms, and his brother Joseph Bottoms. Laraine Newman replaced Kurtz as Gwen. Kathy Bates was also a replacement in the role of June.
The Miss Florida competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Florida in the Miss America pageant. Florida has twice won the Miss America crown.

Olive Marie Osmond (born October 13, 1959) is an American singer, film screenwriter, actress, doll designer, and a member of the show business family the Osmonds. Although she was never part of her family's singing group, she gained success as a solo country music artist in the 1970s and 1980s. Her best known song is a cover of the country pop ballad "Paper Roses." From 1976 to 1979, she and her singer brother Donny Osmond hosted the TV variety show Donny & Marie.
Olive Marie Osmond was born in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Olive May (née Davis) and George Virl Osmond. She was raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is the only daughter of nine children; her brothers are Virl, Tom, Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny and Jimmy Osmond. She and her father also shared the same birthday, October 13. From an early age, her brothers maintained a career in show business, singing and performing on national television. Osmond debuted as part of her brothers' act The Osmond Brothers on the The Andy Williams Show when she was four, but generally did not perform with her brothers in the group's television performances through the 1960s.
