A country's Pacific coast is the part of its coast bordering the Pacific Ocean.
Countries on the western side of the Americas have a Pacific coast as their western border.
Countries on the eastern and southeastern sides of Asia have a Pacific coast as part (or all) of their border.
Countries in Oceania may have a Pacific coast anywhere, including their entire border.

The Pacific Coast Highway Structures - Mega Structure. The Pacific Highway auto trail became British Columbia Highway 99 from Vancouver to the Canada–United States border, U.S. Route 99 from the border to Red Bluff, California, in the Sacramento Valley; U.S. Route 99W from Red Bluff to Davis, California, in the Central Valley; U.S. Route 40 from Davis to San Francisco; and U.S. Route 101 from San Francisco to San Diego. This alignment is now mostly Interstate 5 in California, except between Woodland, California, and Los Angeles, where it uses State Route 113, Interstate 80 and then U.S. Route 101. In Oregon, Interstate 5 is now officially the Pacific Highway No. 1 (see Oregon highways and routes). First completed in 1923, Oregon's Pacific Highway was the first border to border paved highw...

Long before the arrival of European explorers and settlers, the peninsula was used by the various local tribes for trading and other purposes. The Chinook, Chehalis, and Quinault Tribes used the area, as well as others that now make up the Quinault Indian Nation. On May 7, 1792 Captain Robert Gray sailed into the bay and named the area Bullfinch Harbor. Later, Captain George Vancouver renamed the area after Captain Gray, now called Gray's Harbor. The first white established settler on the Point was Matthew McGee, who settled in the early 1860s. H...
I have watched a few very graphic and informative farm animal cruelty videos such as and I just have to tell you that I don't have the stomach for them. Do you? Can you watch one of the many such videos out there which tell the tale of unmentionable, unimaginable farm factory animal cruelty and come away from it without a change of heart? Or maybe you fall into the category of many that I have known who speak of their great love for animals and even demonstrate it in their lives and yet they tell me that they cannot bear to watch even one of these videos. They are far too sensitive and have far too great a concern for the animals that share our planet and should be our friends, so they tell me that they just have to refuse to view such a disgusting display. Some of these folks are so passi...

We're heading down the Pacific Coast Highway in California. We'll stop at Monterrey, Carmel, and Big Sur, check out the magnificent scenery and discover other landmarks along the way. The highway is famous for running along some of the most beautiful coastlines in the USA, leading to its designation as an All-American Road. In addition to providing a scenic route to numerous attractions along the coast, the route also serves as a major thoroughfare in the Greater Los Angeles Area, the San Francisco Bay Area, and several other coastal urban areas. Road Trip: California's Pacific Coast Highway - Television State Route 1 (SR 1) is a major north-south state highway that runs along most of the Pacific coastline of the U.S. state of California. Highway 1 has several portions designated as either Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), Cabrillo Highway, Shoreline Highway, or Coast Highway. Its southern terminus is at Interstate 5 (I-5) near Dana Point in Orange County and its northern terminus is at U.S. Highway 101 (US 101) near Leggett in Mendocino County. Highway 1 also at times runs concurrently with US 101, most notably through a 54-mile (87 km) stretch in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, and across the Golden Gate Bridge. This old film lay dormant on a shelf in the closet of a television studio for several decades until recently rediscovered by Alan O'Connor and Bill Shubb. It was originally produced by the Pacific Coast League at the beginning of the 1946 season to promote the post-war resurgence of the league. It contains an introduction by league president Clarence H. "Pants" Rowland and some of the only known color footage still in existence showing each of the teams in the league working out at their spring training camps. Close-ups of the managers and players of the Oakland Oaks, San Francisco Seals, Sacramento Solons, Los Angeles Angels, Hollywood Stars, San Diego Padres, Portland Beavers, and Seattle Rainiers in action and in color. ...

Pacific Highway is the name of several north-south highways in the Pacific Coast region of the Western United States, either by legislation officially designating it as such or by common usage. Good roads advocate and road-building pioneer Sam Hill was perhaps the main motivating force behind building the original Pacific Highway as a "national auto trail"; from Blaine, Washington, on the United States–Canada border, where he would build his Peace Arch, through Oregon to the Siskiyou Mountains of northwestern California. The road was built in the early 20th century—long before the U.S. Highway System was established. In 1923, its 1,687 miles (2,715 km) of pavement made it the longest continuous stretch of paved road in the world at the time. The Pacific Highway later extended north to Van...
A roadtrip up the Oregon Coast on Scenic US Hwy101 from Coos Bay, Oregon to Astoria, Oregon. We made the journey on a 1993 Honda CBR 1000F. We made stops at Heceta Lighthouse, Yaquina Bay Bridge, Thor's Well, Seal Rock, Cape Perpetua and many more. This was an impromptu adventure and an unplanned road trip. So, we found "No Vacancy" at every hotel on the coast. We extended the trip over the Megler Bridge to Long Beach, Washington and slept on the beach. We awoke to enormous sand castles left over from an Annual Sand Castle competition. The trip was filmed with a sony mini DV "old school" camera and a Sony Action Cam "new school" camera. Hope you enjoy watching... subscribe to take adventures through our lens.
Ride around Meridian, MS. Test video, audio not muted - camera housing insulates audio. There is no commentary, the intent of the video is to test recording format and processing. The motorcycle is a 1995 Honda PC800, Pacific Coast. The motorcycle as more than 50,000 miles and is still going. I'm hoping it has another 50,000 left. The farkle: Clearview +3 windshield, Riderscan mirror, LED driving lights, LED instrument panel, GIVI trunk. Production, the processing of the video took a long time, almost 3 hours. The exporting of the video took 5 hours. Uploading took about 102 minutes. The process is not fast on my old computer. However, the entire 30 minute video is in full 1080p so you cannot expect much more. It is a definite set it and forget it process on this old beast of a...
All those times your lips touched mine
The nights grew cold; your eyes had shined
The smile you gave off I knew time wouldn’t fade
California I’m here to stay
Skies turn gray you give me waves
Tears falling down your face allow me to survive
I’m deeper than I’ve ever been
The tide pulls me down
It’s hard enough to stay afloat as I drown
Pacific coast you’ve won my love, it’s for the taking
Promise to take my hand, bend but not break me
The surfs been rough but I can’t face
The net below that’s dragging me down
The dark blue skies begin to fade
The summer breeze has swept my face
Pulling me off from stable ground
Unsure if time will slow down
This lock and chain need to break
Release me from this iron cage
I need to run, need to hide, need to escape it all
False truths lie inside; I tell myself all these lies
Can’t face the truths of reality
California I’m here to stay
When the skies turn gray you give me waves
Tears falling down your face allow me to survive
I’m deeper than I’ve ever been
The tide pulls me down
It’s hard enough to stay afloat as I drown
Pacific coast you’ve won my love, it’s for the taking
Promise to take my hand, bend but not break me
The surfs been rough but I can’t face
The net below that’s dragging me down
The dark blue skies begin to fade
The summer breeze has swept my face
