The Jaguar E-Type or the Jaguar XK-E for the North American market is a British sports car, which was manufactured by Jaguar Cars Ltd between 1961 and 1975. Its combination of beauty, high performance, and competitive pricing established the marque as an icon of 1960s motoring. At a time when most cars had drum brakes, live rear axles, and mediocre performance, the E-Type sprang on the scene with 150 mph and a sub-7 second 0-60 time, monocoque construction, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, independent front and rear suspension, and unrivaled looks. In fact, the E-Type was based on Jaguar's own famed racer, the Type D, which had won the world's most prestigious sports-car race three consecutive years (1955-1957) and, as such, it was the first production vehicle not to use a separate body bolted onto a chassis, instead employing the racing design of a body tub attached to a tubular framework, with the engine bolted directly to the framework.
In March 2008, the Jaguar E-Type ranked first in a The Daily Telegraph online list of the world's "100 most beautiful cars" of all time.
Bo Martin Erik Eriksson (born August 27, 1965 in Uppsala, Sweden), better known by his stage name E-Type, is a Swedish Eurodance musician.
His father is Bo ("Bosse") G. Eriksson, known for the science TV-show Vetenskapens Värld (World of Science). His mother's name is Elisabeth and he has one sibling, a sister Erika.
In his teens, E-Type and his family moved to Bromma, a borough in the western part of Stockholm, and he is currently living in the heart of Stockholm. He started his musical career in the 1980s as a drummer in the speed metal bands Maninnya Blade and Hexenhaus. In 1991 he met up with Stakka Bo with two singles as a result of the partnership: "We Got the Atmosphere" in 1991 and "Numania 1" in 1992. This earned E-Type a job as a VJ on ZTV. His first solo single, "I'm Falling" was released in mid-1993 but did poorly commercially.
E-Type's breakthrough came in 1994 with the collaboration with the producers from Cheiron (Denniz PoP, Max Martin, and Amadin) on his debut album Made in Sweden. A single from this album, "Set the World on Fire", reached gold status in Sweden, #1 on the Swedish dance chart, #2 on the Swedish sale chart, and #4 in Israel. Eventually four other singles were released from the album: the ballad "Do You Always (Have to Be Alone)", "This Is the Way" and "Russian Lullaby" (co-written by Jonas Berggren from Ace of Base). "This Is the Way" reached #15 on the Billboard Club Chart in the United States and #6 on the UK Club Chart. Most of the tracks feature the female vocalist Nana Hedin, who is featured on nearly all of E-Type's albums. The album itself was released on October 31, 1994 and made it up to #2 on the album-chart. Over 100,000 copies were sold in Sweden and the album was listed for 26 weeks.
The jaguar (Panthera onca) is a big cat, a feline in the Panthera genus, and is the only extant Panthera species native to the Americas. The jaguar is the third-largest feline after the tiger and the lion, and the largest in the Americas. The jaguar's present range extends from Southwestern United States and Mexico across much of Central America and south to Paraguay and northern Argentina. Apart from a known and possibly breeding population in Arizona (southeast of Tucson) and the bootheel of New Mexico, the cat has largely been extirpated from the United States since the early 20th century.
This spotted cat most closely resembles the leopard physically, although it is usually larger and of sturdier build and its behavioral and habitat characteristics are closer to those of the tiger. While dense rainforest is its preferred habitat, the jaguar will range across a variety of forested and open terrains. It is strongly associated with the presence of water and is notable, along with the tiger, as a feline that enjoys swimming. The jaguar is largely a solitary, opportunistic, stalk-and-ambush predator at the top of the food chain (an apex predator). It is a keystone species, playing an important role in stabilizing ecosystems and regulating the populations of the animals it hunts. The jaguar has an exceptionally powerful bite, even relative to the other big cats. This allows it to pierce the shells of armored reptiles and to employ an unusual killing method: it bites directly through the skull of prey between the ears to deliver a fatal bite to the brain.

“I’m an architect, and I’m very design-oriented. I think it’s a classic that everybody likes; you don’t need to be a car aficionado to like this car,” says Miguel Rodrigo. “I’ve driven it very hard from border to border twice with no problems whatsoever…” And that’s how Miguel describes his beloved Jaguar E-Type, a vehicle prized not only for its rarity, but for its beauty, performance, and, now, years of happy motoring memories—including its role in staging Peru’s version of the Cannonball* rally. After a number of entrants dropped out, the field flew away from the start, with Miguel and his E-Type finishing four hours ahead of second place, not bad for a race across Peru in a vehicle he’d bought at a U.S. auto auction. “The fun part is the traveling, not getting to Point B,” he says....

Restoration video of a Series II Jaguar E-Type. The restoration took two and a half years, thousands of hours of labor, and much, much more $$. The Jag was last licensed in 1983 and spent the last 15 years outside with a deteriorated car cover. This was a nut and bolt restoration. Everything was rebuilt or replaced. Every motor, caliper, assembly, etc. was dissassembled and rebuilt.
