The Frames

A high quality Malaysian produced renewable plantation timber is used and is available in pewter, white or satin black with a smooth composite finish and brown or blond grain.

The frames are 2.8cm and can be seen in images on the left. The mattes are a standard 5cm. There is paper space between the matte and where the image starts which varies, although it’s generally between 3 – 5cm.

A high end  premium grade Perspex imported from Japan called Shinkolite is used which is produced by Mitsubishi. It is 98%+ scratch resistant and is 3mm thick. Shinkolite acrylic is a continuous cast acrylic and has many of the properties of cell cast acrylic. It has 10x the strength of glass with crystal clear transparency.

The Paper 

The high quality of the paper should ensure a life of more than 100 years if cared for properly.

Innova Softex Fine Art Paper, 315gsm

Museum quality natural white, course structured, acid free paper.

It has a natural white finish with a slightly structured, soft-textured surface equivalent to a traditional etching fine art paper making it ideal for digital fine art reproductions.

The surface has a special matte coating, designed for high quality fine art and photographic reproduction.

The term “Giclée Print” (pronounced zhee-clay) refers to an elevation in printmaking technology.

Images are printed with archival quality Ultrachrome pigment based K3 inks onto canvas and smooth or textured fine art paper

Shipping

Delivery should be within 15 working days.

Only a small number of the 300 edition are printed at any time, so new print runs are at times required which then need the artist’s signature. 

Sent registered, using Fastway Couriers for metropolitan areas and Australia Post for remote areas.

International deliveries are only available upon request. Contact us here.

Framed prints cannot be sent to a PO Box address.

Be sure to enter the correct email address when placing your order. You will receive all notifications by email, including an initial order confirmation email, then a shipping confirmation email which will include the tracking code.

Returns

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we will give you a 30 day money-back guarantee from the time you receive the goods. Please contact us within that time if you are not satisfied with your purchase so that we can resolve any problems.

This refund policy does not apply to goods which have been damaged after delivery, or if any attempt has been made to alter the product or if they have been dropped or broken. All products must be returned in their original condition.

All return courier and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer.

You must return the product via Registered Courier and pre pay all Courier costs.

You assume any risk of loss, theft or of goods damaged during return transit & therefore advise you take out shipment registration of insurance with your Courier. We cannot be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in return transit if you choose not to insure.

Reg Mombassa is the pseudonym of Chris O'Doherty, a New Zealand born artist and musician.

Resident in Australia, he is as well known there for his musical exploits — founder and former member of the popular Australian band Mental As Anything and member of Dog Trumpet (alongside his brother Peter O'Doherty) - as he is for his art.

Worldwide, he is perhaps better known for his irreverent designs for surfwear company Mambo Graphics many of which were later adapted for use in a segment of the Sydney 2000 Olympics closing ceremony.
