Run for the Sun is a 1956 film released by United Artists, the third film to officially be based on Richard Connell's classic suspense story, "The Most Dangerous Game", after both RKO's The Most Dangerous Game (1932), and their remake, A Game of Death (1945). This version stars Richard Widmark, Trevor Howard, and Jane Greer, and was directed by Ray Boulting from a script written by Boulting and Dudley Nichols. Connell was credited for his short story.
Howard is the wealthy reclusive man who enjoys hunting down human beings like wild game. In this adaptation, the expatriate Russian general is transformed into a British traitor hiding in the Mexican jungle with a fellow Nazi war criminal played by Peter van Eyck. Their prey are Widmark, portraying a Hemingway-like but reclusive novelist, and Greer, playing a journalist for a periodical resembling Life Magazine who has tracked down the novelist's whereabouts.

Nineteen Eighty-Four (mostly written 1984) is a 1948 dystopian fiction written
by George Orwell (Eric Arthur Blair), about a society ruled by an oligarchical
dictatorship. The Oceanian province of Airstrip One is a world of perpetual war,
pervasive government surveillance, and incessant public mind control. Oceania is
ruled by a political party called simply The Party. The individual is always
subordinated to the state, and it is in part this philosophy which allows the
Party to manipulate and control humanity. In the Ministry of Truth, protagonist
Winston Smith is a civil servant responsible for perpetuating the Party's
propaganda by revising historical records to render the Party omniscient and
always correct, yet his meager existence disillusions him to the point of
seeking rebellion against Big Brother.
Many people often draw parallels between our modern reality and Orwell's vision.

Marilyn Monroe - Returns To Hollywood , 1956 Feb 25th
On the morning of February 25, 1956 , a limousine takes Marilyn Monroe at her New York apartment at 2 Sutton Place South to bring her to the airport. She is expected in Hollywood in two days to begin the pre-production of her first film for Fox signed with her new contract: "Bus Stop", the cinematographic adaptation of a successful play. The 'Marilyn Monroe Productions' and Fox has just arrived at a compromise and Marilyn returns triumphant after a long exile of one year in New York. Reporters of the press and television await her plane at the American Airlines terminal in Los Angeles. A tumultuous welcome awaits her: hundreds of journalists rush to the tarmac, and there is such a crowd around the airport that Marilyn is the last passenger to alight, she can get out only after two hours.

The plans for this study were formulated between 1956 and 1958. For some time then, I had been interested in the processes of personal and social accommodation and in the factors that were responsible for resistance to change. While a graduate student at Columbia University at that time, I was also affiliated with a multidisciplinary research group at Cornell University Medical Colleges studying the reactions of people of various cultural and social backgrounds to situations of stress. The Hungarian refugees were one of the groups being studied. I thus decided to undertake a study of the process of acculturation, the Hungarian refugees providing an ideal population. I did not expect to encounter any serious difficulties. Needless to say, the work was beset with every sort of difficulty, financial, conceptual, etc., that usually accompanies research projects. It is only now, more than a decade later, that I am able to present my findings in their final form. I am pleased to have this opportunity to express my in debtedness to the many people who made this study possible. I have been fortunate in having teachers, colleagues, and friends, the same person, who helped me in the formulation often all in of the problem, offered encouragement along every step, and taught me the very skills I was to use.

A film bemutatja a magyar nemzet történetét a honfoglalástól címszavakban 1956-ig, majd az akkori eseményeket részletesen. Segítségkérésnek szánták de a világ nemzeteinek vezetői szótlanul tűrték az oroszok bevonulását. Megannyi fővárosban tömegtuntetések zajlottak a magyar nép mellett, de mint már tudjuk, még 33évig rajtunk maradt az orosz rabiga. Hat forgatócsoport járta a várost. Körülbelül tízezer méter anyagot vettek fel. November 4-én reggel akarták eljuttatni Bécsbe, a Nemzetközi Vöröskereszthez és az Egyesült Nemzetek szervezeteihez "a külföld tárgyilagos informálása, segélyek és gyógyszerek küldése céljából.
