Syd tells a tale of sabotage and assassination, of a Nazi plot to take over New Zealand. Fraser contacts Major Folkes, head of the Security Intelligence Bureau. Folkes seizes on Ross' story, gives Ross a new identity, a car, money and accommodation at The Grand in Rotorua. Ross is to gather evidence on the 'Nazi plot'. As he does so, Folkes puts together a secret dossier, embroidering Ross' lies and building a picture of a country in extreme danger. Good evening, I’m Elizabeth and I live in Cornwall, I’m Cornish and I speak the Cornish language. I’m a Cornish speaker. So, I began to learn Cornish when I was... around about seven years old, I think. My mother was learning Cornish at evening classes and she came home and taught me and my brother to speak the language. Then my father learnt it too. And we all spoke the language together at home, when we were eating together and so on, ‘pass me the salt’ etc. And we went to lots of events together, like Cornish Language Weekends organised by the Cornish Language Fellowship. These events were for people who wanted to learn Cornish and I remember going there with my brother and playing with all the other children who were learning Cornish. There w...

A comedian has created a downloadable satnav voiceover that directs drivers and makes jokes - in a CORNISH accent. The new app created by funnyman Colin Leggo gives users a choice of four members of the fictional Trebilcock family. The four characters - Frank, his wife Pam, son Leonard and daughter Lucy - give instructions such as "at the end of this lovely road turn right" and "exit left my darling". Users can listen to one at a time or use the 'world-first' family mode setting, where the four argue with one another like real-life relatives bickering over directions. 'Travel with the Trebilcocks' was produced by Colin Leggo and pal Simon Truen, a cult Cornish twitter personality known as Jam First. Satnav users can download each voice onto their TomTom or Garmin device for #2.99, while th...

I don't see the point in working just to be working. I had an amazing childhood. I play the keyboard, piano - I like making beats. Growing up on a farm was the best. I remember loving that expanse of space. The sky at night was so clear, I could see every star. I used to paint a lot of oil and now I paint more mixed-media stuff. My mum is an artist and very into creative expression and freedom.

Cornish Tin Mine and Mining History - Cligga Mine Revisited - Cligga Head, Perranporth Cornwall. 3 ghostly images are in the footage from Nosferatu (copyright expired). Revisit of Cligga Tin Mine with much improved lighting, filmed on my GoPro3, 3 hour trip condensed into 30 minutes no software enhancement required. Cree t6 and XML-U2 lamps provide incredible lighting. Bob and myself both have extensive knowledge of mines and mining techniques through working in the industry, old workings are extremely dangerous and must only be entered with a full understanding of how they work, many transfer chutes, winzes, shafts and open stopes make it a hazardous environment. History of Cligga Mine. Cligga Wolfram & Tin Mine lies on the cliff tops about one and a quarter miles southwest of Per...

A Video showing various engines tackling the infamous engine hill at Porthtowan, Cornwall. This road run happens every 5 years as a way to remember Alan Thomas who helped make the west of England steam engine society (weses) and the Cornish Steam & Country Fair grow its popularity and success. The road run itself consists of 17 miles of country roads from Chacewater to Stithians showground with engine hill being the highlight for not only the engine owners but for the enthusiast and for those who just want to see a spectacular event. One stand out highlight of this road run was three Burrells, 3903 'Excelsior', 3937 'Janet' and 3919 'Susie' hauling a 17 tonne stationary engine house beam up engine hill.

Joe Cornish joined us at The Photography Show on the Linhof Studio stand in March 2016. He gave a short talk on photography in the world’s most extreme landscapes. The talk was about the voyages made to Antarctica, and to South Georgia, about the Southern Ocean, and the mystery and wonder of this remote part of the world, hidden from view and un-noticed by most of the world’s population.
