Josh Grant

Joshua David Grant (born August 7, 1967) is a retired American professional basketball player. The 6’9” (2.06 m), 223 pound (101 kg) forward who graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1986 and attended the University of Utah, where he was an important player and still holds multiple basketball records. Among other honors, Grant was named to Utah’s All-Century Men’s Basketball Team on February 12, 2008 and was inducted into the University’s Crimson Club Hall of Fame on April 8, 2008.

Grant was selected with the Sixteenth pick of the Second Round of the 1993 NBA draft (43rd pick overall) by the Denver Nuggets and was traded to the Golden State Warriors on a draft night trade. Grant played for the Warriors during the 1993-1994 season, and then played abroad for several years.

College career

Josh Grant played for the University of Utah Utes from 1988-1993 (he was forced to take a medical red-shirt year because of a knee injury during the 1991-92 season).

Grant played under coach Lynn Archibald for one season, and then under famed basketball coach Rick Majerus for the rest of his college career. The period during which Grant played under Majerus marked the beginning of a highly successful period for the Utes under Majerus throughout the 90s, which ultimately culminated with the Utes’ appearance in the NCAA championship game in 1998. Teams Grant played on in 1991 and 1993 won WAC regular season championships, and the 1991 team went to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament, eventually being eliminated by Jerry Tarkanian’s defending champion UNLV Runnin’ Rebels to finish 30-4 on the season. Grant was the captain of the Utah team for three years (1991, 1992, 1993).

Ryan Dungey

Ryan Dungey (born December 4, 1989) is an American professional motocross racer competing in the AMA Supercross and Motocross championships. Ryan Dungey is the current 450cc class Monster Energy Supercross champion and AMA 450 Motocross Champion.

Born in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, Ryan Dungey currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida, with his wife Lindsay Dungey. He currently rides for the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer, KTM, on their premiere North American factory racing team, RedBull KTM. Ryan Dungey trains with legendary trainer Aldon Baker and is mentored by Red Bull KTM team manager, Roger DeCoster. Ryan Dungey has the distinction of being one of the few professional motocross athletes to turn pro directly from the "B" class in amateur racing; a feat that has not been successfully accomplished many times.

Dungey has won every major title in American Motocross and Supercross. Dungey has also been crowned the champion of the world's largest international motocross race, the Motocross des Nations, three times. In total, Ryan Dungey currently has six major AMA championships which place him among the best motocrossers of all time. Dungey is in 8th place in all-time 450 supercross race wins (26) and 6th place in all-time supercross combined wins (38). In motocross, Dungey is in 2nd place in all-time 450 motocross overall wins (38) and 3rd place in all-time combined motocross overall wins (45). Finally, Ryan Dungey is in 5th place in all-time combined Supercross and Motocross wins with 71 total race wins. Apart from his championships, Dungey is known for his friendliness, charity work, consistent podium finishes and near-textbook riding style.
