Jungle (2000 film)

Jungle is a 2000 Indian thriller film produced and directed by Ram Gopal Varma starring Sunil Shetty, Fardeen Khan and Urmila Matondkar. The ensemble cast film has received positive reviews upon release and was declared a Hit. The film won the Bollywood Movie Award for Best Direction.

Plot

Anu Malhotra and Siddharth Mishra (Sidhu) are in love with each other and would like to get married. Anu is ready to inform her parents about her future life-partner, but everything is put on hold, as the family decides to go out on a group safari-like expedition. Siddharth decides to go incognito also. The group gets to view wildlife from fairly close distances. Tragedy strikes when the group (except Sidhu) is kidnapped by the Bandit Durga Narayan Choudhary and his gang. The bandits commit atrocities on the kidnapped people and finally behead one of the women in order to terrorize the government and extract ransom as well as release of one of their men who is in police custody. Once their demands are met, the bandits release remaining hostages, except Anu, whom the chief Durga Narayan Choudhary has started liking. This is unacceptable by his girlfriend Bali, the only female bandit of the gang. When Sidhu not find Anu among the released hostages, he sends the illegal arms supplier Dorai to request Durga Narayan Choudhary for Anu's release. He secretly follows Dorai and finally reaches Anu. In the ensuing commotion, he is able to run away with her, with the bandits in their pursuit. They keep searching their way out of the dense forest. Meanwhile the goons started to reduce in numbers as they get shot one by one during repeated police encounters. Finally, Durga is the only one left. Still mad about Anu, he searches for her. He is about to take Anu away once more but is intercepted by Commander Shivraj, whom he eventually murders, but finally Sidhu kills Durga and re-unites with Anu and the movie ends on a happy note.

Pokémon Demo Game Plastic Pack

The Pokémon Demo Game pack was the earliest Pokémon card pack to be produced in the English Pokémon TCG. This card pack was printed and distributed in December 1998 to select retailers and at Magic: The Gathering (MTG) trading card shows as a limited production run. This Pokémon pack consists of 24 Base Set shadowless cards and an instruction manual. The remaining Pokémon Demo Game packs were given to guests and vendors at the annual E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) event which was held from May 13–15 in 1999. This Pokémon Demo Game pack is considered the "Holy Grail" within the Pokémon trading card game because it was the very first introduction of the Pokémon trading cards within the United States. This Pokémon pack is limited in quantity and predates all other Pokémon Set cards including the 1st edition Base Set cards making these packs extremely rare and valuable. It is estimated that between 100-200 of these Pokémon Demo Game packs remain unopened. The first ever Demo Game pack to be issued a PSA certification number was Demo Game pack #24287143 making it the default earliest known package of English Pokémon cards to remain sealed in existence.

Background

Jungle was founded by Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd-Watson. The pair had been friends since they were nine years old, where they lived next door to each other in Shepherds Bush, London. They both attended Latymer Upper School, and played together within a number of different groups, one of which, Born Blonde, saw some success. They went on to form Jungle at the beginning of 2013, choosing to put an aesthetic emphasis on the music’s surrounding artwork and videos, and not on the pairs' own identity, (McFarland and Lloyd-Watson came to be known as J and T). Throughout the following year Jungle developed its nature as a collective by working with different artists across diverse disciplines. To perform the music live, Jungle expanded to a seven-piece band, fronted by J and T. The pair wished to challenge themselves, resisting the temptation to simply re-produce their music from their laptops, and instead translated their songs into a full and organic live experience. J and T have explained that Jungle stemmed from a desire for ‘honesty… true connection and friendship. HOP!

Société HOP! is the brand name of the regional flights operated by subsidiaries of Air France. Its flight are operated by Airlinair, Brit Air and Régional under the HOP! brand. The new brand offers daily flights to 50 French and European destinations. Its head office is in the Parc tertiaire Silic in Rungis in Greater Paris.

History

The new airline brand was created to better compete with the low-cost airlines which have taken a significant market share of Air France's regional routes. Régional Compagnie Aérienne Européenne, Brit Air and Airlinair operate a combined total of 103 aircraft.

The airline is acquiring 5 ATR 72-600 aircraft in 2015 as replacements for its older ATR 72-500s.

Hop (protein)

Hop, occasionally written HOP, is an abbreviation for Hsp70-Hsp90 Organizing Protein. It functions as a co-chaperone which reversibly links together the protein chaperones Hsp70 and Hsp90.

Hop belongs to the large group of co-chaperones, which regulate and assist the major chaperones (mainly heat shock proteins). It is one of the best studied co-chaperones of the Hsp70/Hsp90-complex. It was first discovered in yeast and homologues were identified in human, mouse, rat, insects, plants, parasites, and virus. The family of these proteins is referred to as STI1 (stress inducible protein) and can be divided into yeast, plant, and animal STI1 (Hop).

Structure

STI proteins are characterized by some structural features: All homologues have nine tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) motifs, that are clustered into domains of three TPRs. The TPR motif is a very common structural feature used by many proteins and provides the ability of directing protein-protein interactions. Crystallographic structural information is available for the N-terminal TPR1 and the central TPR2A domains in complex with Hsp90 resp. Hsp70 ligand peptides.

Kaleidoscope is a 1987 novel by Danielle Steel, published by Delacorte Press (see 1987 in literature). It was adapted into an NBC television movie in 1990 starring Jaclyn Smith and Perry King.

Plot

The story revolves around three sisters born to a French mother and an American GI father. The father kills the mother and then commits suicide. The story features the events of each girl's life. Separated after the death of their parents, each one is raised quite differently. They are later reunited by an estranged, family friend: the lawyer who placed them in the homes where they spent their childhoods. They later find out that he is part of the reason their father killed their mother.
