“Party Party Party”
Rock n’ Roll seringkali menghadirkan suatu keterikataan antara musik yang dimainkan dengan banyak hal yang ada di sekelilingnya. Musisi tidak sekedar hidup untuk berkarya dan berjalan sendirian. Musik lahir melalui pertemuan beragam ide yang disertai dengan gagasan ideal dari para pencetusnya. Tidak ada kesendirian yang menjadi terlalu sepi ketika itu diwacanakan dalam sebuah notasi dan kemudian ditransformasi menjadi bentuk yang bisa dinikmati oleh banyak orang.
Beragam sudut pandang yang kita punya selalu mampu memberikan arti yang berbeda-beda, baik ketika kita sedang membuat ataupun ketika kita sedang mendengarkan sebuah karya musik. Kesamaan perilaku dan gaya hidup mempunyai kecenderungan untuk membawa sekelompok orang untuk berada pada sudut pandang yang sama dalam membuat dan menikmati sesuatu. Akan tetapi, apakah kesamaan tersebut akan bisa menghasilkan sebuah output yang baik ketika mereka mencoba untuk berkarya bersama?
/rif dan Koil adalah band yang tidak pernah peduli dengan pasang surutnya industri musik negri ini. Kurang lebih 20 tahun mereka berkarya, malang-melintang di panggung musik Indonesia adalah sebuah bukti nyata dari konsistensi dan kemampuan yang luar biasa. Mereka bukan hanya sebuah produk nostalgia semata. Mereka masih terus berkarya menghasilkan lagu-lagu baru. Mereka masih ada dan tetap perkasa di tengah kompetisi industri saat ini. Beragam kegilaan di atas dan di luar panggung pun masih terus mereka lakukan.
Saat ini, industri musik Indonesia sedang menambah sebuah catatan baru. Dua band rock besar Indonesia yang selama ini seakan berada di wilayah industri yang berbeda baru saja menyelesaikan sebuah kolaborasi mengerjakan lagu baru secara bersama-sama. Lagu yang diberi judul “Party Party Party” ini diciptakan oleh Doni, diaransemen dan direkam secara bersama-sama oleh /rif dan Koil di sebuah studio rekaman di Kelapa Gading.
Party Party Party adalah sebuah lagu yang secara sederhana bercerita tentang bagaimana hidup ini sebaiknya dijalani. Pasang surut kehidupan yang membuat setiap orang terpaksa mengalami jatuh bangun tidak pernah boleh membuat kita menyerah. Beragam masalah yang ada dalam kehidupan ini harus bisa diselesaikan dengan cara-cara yang menyenangkan.
Ide awal kolaborasi berasal dari pihak manajemen /rif & Koil yang kebetulan keduanya memang berada di manajemen yang sama yaitu di Rock Management. Beberapa bulan lalu seusai /rif dan Koil tampil bersama di kota Purwokerto, Joshua melontarkan ide untuk melakukan kolaborasi karena dia melihat ini sebagai suatu hal baru yang berbeda, menarik dan jarang terjadi di negri ini. Banyak kolaborasi yang terjadi hanya dalam format kolaborasi vokalis, kolaborasi gitaris dan sejenisnya. Sementara kolaborasi 2 buah band rock, merekam lagu baru bersama adalah sesuatu yang sangat langka di Indonesia.
Pada akhirnya, dengan adanya dukungan dari Jack Daniels, kami berhasil menyelesaikan semua tahapan rekaman, pembuatan video klip hingga di awal Oktober ini kami akan melakukan rangkaian pertunjukan di beberapa kota di Indonesia. Semua ini terjadi karena kami selalu percaya bahwa musik rock tidak akan pernah mati.

Koil or Kovil "King's House" is the Tamil term for a distinct style of Hindu temple with Dravidian architecture.
The koil in Tamil Nadu and kovil of Ceylon has a long history and has always been associated with the ruler of the time. Most kings patronised temple building in their kingdom, and attached water tanks and villages to the shrine to administer. Temples not only acted as the places of worship, but as civic centres for the population, providing local services to the community in the form of hospitals, education institutions, sports and art academies. The local population is fed at the end of each poosai with monetary endowments made to the shrine.
Ancient Tamils were among the greatest of temple builders. The Sangam literature scripted before the common era refers to some of the temples the early kings of Tamilakam erected. The songs of the revered Shaiva Nayanars and the Vaishnava Alvar saints that date back to the period 6th to the 9th century CE provide ample references to the temples of that period. Stone inscriptions found in most temples have revealed the patronage extended to them by various rulers.

Beragam kegilaan di atas dan di luar panggung pun masih terus mereka lakukan.
Saat ini, industri musik Indonesia sedang menambah sebuah catatan baru. Dua band rock besar Indonesia yang selama ini seakan berada di wilayah industri yang berbeda baru saja menyelesaikan sebuah kolaborasi mengerjakan lagu baru secara bersama-sama. Lagu yang diberi judul “Party Party Party” ini diciptakan oleh Doni, diaransemen dan direkam secara bersama-sama oleh /rif dan Koil di sebuah studio rekaman di Kelapa Gading.
Party Party Party adalah sebuah lagu yang secara sederhana bercerita tentang bagaimana hidup ini sebaiknya dijalani. Pasang surut kehidupan yang membuat setiap orang terpaksa mengalami jatuh bangun tidak pernah boleh membuat kita menyerah. Beragam masalah yang ada dalam kehidupan ini harus bisa diselesaikan dengan cara-cara yang menyenangkan.
Ide awal kolaborasi berasal dari pihak manajemen /rif & Koil yang kebetulan keduanya memang berada di manajemen yang sama yaitu di Rock Management. Beberapa bulan lalu seusai /rif dan Koil tampil bersama di kota Purwokerto, Joshua melontarkan ide untuk melakukan kolaborasi karena dia melihat ini sebagai suatu hal baru yang berbeda, menarik dan jarang terjadi di negri ini. Banyak kolaborasi yang terjadi hanya dalam format kolaborasi vokalis, kolaborasi gitaris dan sejenisnya. Sementara kolaborasi 2 buah band rock, merekam lagu baru bersama adalah sesuatu yang sangat langka di Indonesia.
Pada akhirnya, dengan adanya dukungan dari Jack Daniels, kami berhasil menyelesaikan semua tahapan rekaman, pembuatan video klip hingga di awal Oktober ini kami akan melakukan rangkaian pertunjukan di beberapa kota di Indonesia. Semua ini terjadi karena kami selalu percaya bahwa musik rock tidak akan pernah mati.

The Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple or Thiruvarangam Tamil : திருவரங்கம் is a Hindu temple dedicated to Ranganatha, a reclining form of Hindu deity, Vishnu located in Srirangam, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, India . Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture,this temple is glorified in the Thiviya Pirabandham, the early medieval Tamil literature canon of the Alvar saints from the 6th to 9th centuries AD and is counted among the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Vishnu. The temple follows Thenkalai tradition of worship.
Its location, on an island in Cauvery river, has rendered it vulnerable to natural disasters as well as the rampaging of invading armies – Muslim and European – which repeatedly commandeered the site for military encampment.
Sriranga Mahathmiyam is tha compilation of religious accounts of the temple which detail the origins of its greatness. According to it, Lord Rama, himself an Avatar of Vishnu, worshiped the idol for a long time, and when he returned victoriously from Sri Lanka after destroying Ravana, he gave it to King Vibhishana as a token of appreciation for the latter's support for Rama against his own brother, Ravana.
When Vibhishana was going via Trichy en route to Sri Lanka, the deity wanted to stay in Srirangam. Ranganatha, captivated by the devotion of a King called Dharma Varma, who was doing penance to have Lord Ranganatha to permanently stay Srirangam, stayed put, promising to cast his benign glance eternally on Lanka. Hence it is that the deity (in a reclining posture) faces South.
The Orlov diamond of 189.62 carats (37.924 g), is a large diamond that is part of the collection of the Diamond Fund of the Moscow Kremlin. The origin of this resplendent relic – described as having the shape and proportions of half a hen's egg. This diamond and a similar gem served as the eyes of the deity in the temple. Legends hold that a French soldier who had deserted during the Carnatic wars in Srirangam.
Mention of the 2nd Carnatic war that was fought in Srirangam disguised himself as a Hindu convert and stole it in 1747.erected in the 17th century.

The Hall of 1000 pillars (actually 953) is a fine example of a planned theatre-like structure and opposite to it, "Sesha Mandap", with its intricacy in sculpture, is a delight.[according to whom?] The 1000-pillared hall made of granite was constructed in the Vijayanagara period (1336–1565) on the site of the old temple.
The pillars consists of sculptures of wildly rearing horses bearing riders on their backs and trampling with their hoofs upon the heads of rampant tigers, seem only natural and congruous among such weird surroundings.
The great hall is traversed by one wide aisle in the centre for the whole of its greater length, and intersected by transepts of like dimension running across at right angles. There still remain seven side aisles on each side, in which all the pillars are equally spaced out.
The Garuda Madapa (hall of the legendary bird deity of Vishnu, garuda) located on the south side of the third enclosure is another Nayak addition. Courtly portrait sculptures, reused from an earlier structure, are fixed to the piers lining the central aisle. A free-standing shrine inside the hall contains a large seated figure of garuda; the eagle-headed god faces north towards the principal sanctum.
The Kili mandapa (Hall of parrot) is located next to the Ranganatha shrine, in the first enclosure of the temple. Elephant balustrades skirt the access steps that ascend to a spacious open area. This is bounded by decorated piers with rearing animals and attached colonettes in the finest 17th-century manner.
Pancharanga Kshetrams (also called Pancharangams, meaning the "five Rangams or Ranganathas") is a group of five sacred Hindu temples, dedicated to Ranganatha, a form of the god Vishnu, on the banks of the Kaveri River. The five Pancharanga Kshetrams in the order of their successive locations, on the banks of the Kaveri River are: The Srirangapatnam called the Adi Ranga, the first temple on the banks of the Kaveri River from the upstream side; the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple at Srirangam known as Adya Ranga (the last temple), Appalarangam or Koviladi at Tiurppernagar in Tamil Nadu, Parimala Ranganatha Perumal Temple or Mayuram at Indalur, Mayiladuthurai and Vatarangam at Sirkazhi.

You can see some of the oldest temple rituals conducted in these temples, just the way they were done in the past.
I visited four major ancient temples in Chennai. Though I started early in the morning at 6.30am, the temple trail took the major part of the day, despite the fact that I had a cab with me. Of course, you can just do a few temples and not do the entire trail.
