Unwelcome

Unwelcome is the fifth studio album by the Death Metal band Arsis. It was released on April 30, 2013 through Nuclear Blast Records. This is the first full length album to feature Shawn Priest on drums and Brandon Ellis on guitar. This album was produced by Marc Lewis.

Reception

Unwelcome was generally well-received by both critics and fans, being hailed as a return-to-form to their earlier materials compared to their 2010 release Starve for the Devil by focusing on aggression and technicality, but still remaining melodic and listenable. Criticism of the album usually focuses on general inaccessibility to those who are not fans of technical death metal, or the inclusion less-serious sounding parts of the album, for example the inclusion of the 80s hit "Sunglasses At Night" by Corey Hart. Andrew Uscategui of Sputnik Music writes: "Also as you’d expect from Arsis, there’s a decent amount of cheese on Unwelcome, if you didn’t already get that notion from the ridiculous song titles. ‘Sunglasses at Night’ isn’t necessarily their fault as it’s a Corey Hart cover (which is odd enough as it is), but the lyrics are so blatantly awful it’s almost impossible to ignore." Despite this, he did give the album 3.5 out of 5 stars, saying that "Arsis deserves some credit for staying true to their technical melodeath roots after all this time. Even after compromising their sound in the past, Unwelcome shows the band doing what they do best and doesn’t completely rule out the idea of another A Celebration of Guilt or A Diamond for Disease sometime in the future."

Lego Batman

Lego Batman is a theme and product range of the Lego construction toy, introduced in 2006, based on the superhero character Batman, under license from DC Comics. The sets feature vehicles, characters and scenes from the comics and films. The inspirations for the design of these varies widely. For example, the Batmobile retains its basic sleek shape and prominent fins from the Tim Burton films, whereas the "Bat-Tank" seems to be based on the tank-like Batmobile in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns. In 2008, a video game based on the theme, Lego Batman: The Videogame, was released, along with four new sets. The theme was relaunched in early 2012 as part of the Lego DC Universe Superheroes line, which is a sub-theme of the Lego Super Heroes line. In total there were seventeen sets, almost all of them including Batman.

Batman is given a wide range of vehicles, their appearances resembling their accepted forms. Several vehicles, including the "Batman Dragster", "Batman's Buggy", and "Bat-Tank", have also been introduced. The Batmobile appears similar to the way it does in the 1989 film, while the Batboat takes on a hovercraft-like form. All the set-boxes feature a comic strip by artist Greg Hyland at the back, featuring stylized versions of the set in action.

The Unwelcome Guest is a 1913 American silent drama film directed by D. W. Griffith.

Plot

Just before she dies, an elderly married woman stashes the horde of money she's secretly accumulated beneath the false bottom of an old shipping trunk. After her death, her husband, believing himself penniless, has to leave their old home and move in with his son's family, where he's treated with no respect or consideration. Also on the scene is a newly hired kindly young housekeeper (Mary Pickford); she and the old gentleman become close friends and eventually run away together (taking the old shipping trunk with them).
