Plot: Aranya lives a middle-classed lifestyle in Ganga, Nilgiris, along with her widowed father, Ashok Mahadeo, who is a devotee of Bollywood artiste Kishore Kumar. She repairs wristwatches and clocks and also waits at a restaurant run by her friend, Gayatri Garg. One day she gets a male customer who wants his wristwatch repaired, and she does so. He shows up again the next day with the same task, and keeps on coming daily. She finds out that his name is Andrew Raymond and he was a fellow student during her school-days. He admits that he had a crush on her and had even agreed to wait 10 years to see her. She takes a liking to him and both hang-out together while she attempts to deal with her creditor, Gangaram, and increasing pressure from R.K. Constructions who want to build a resort. Then her world will shatter around her when she finds out that Andrew had been killed several years ago, and the male claiming to be him is actually an unknown and unstable inmate from the local mental institute.

Plot: Rambabu is the eldest of four sons in this family. He has brought up his three younger brothers, Shyam, Sohan, and Mohan, with love and fatherly care together with his wife, Sita. Plot: Ram Kumar lives a wealthy lifestyle in Calcutta with his brother, Prashant and Parvati, his sister-in-law. Since his school-days he had befriended a young orphan named Laxman, who also lives with them. Years later, Ram and Laxman have grown up, and Laxman has joined the Calcutta Police Force. Impressed with Laxman's dedication and diligence, the Police Commissioner assigns him to investigate, dismantle, and arrest an underworld don called Cobra and his gang. Laxman's investigation leads him to the culprit, but before he could take any action, he is killed. Ram swears to avenge Laxman's death, and sets forth to seek Cobra. Prashant attempts to convince Ram to give this up and leave it to the police, but Ram refuses, and ends up moving out of the house. Then Ram finds out who the culprits are - none other than the Cobra gang - and sets out to avenge Laxman's death. On doing so, the gang retaliates, and Parvati is killed. It is then Ram finds out that the man called Cobra may be Prashant himself, but the question remains why would Prashant have Laxman and Parvati killed? Is he, in fact, Cobra, and if not then who is it?

Plot: Indian Army Captain Amar Kumar lives with his father, Ram, and mother, Saraswati. Ram has been associated with top freedom fighters during India's struggle for independence from the British. Almost all of these freedom fighters had taken advantage of their involvement and have taken up important positions in India's administration, and these include Jagrathan, and Mohanlal. While others like Vaisakh Ansari and Ram have chosen not to. Amar goes to Delhi and meets Mohanlal, who offers him a position of personal secretary with Jagrathan. Then a chain of events lead to the death of Jagrathan's pilot son, Surender, resulting in Jagrathan threatening to expose the powers that-be unless they come clean and admit their involvement. Then Jagrathan is killed in a vehicle accident. Before dying he asks Dr. Shabnam to hand-over a key to Amar. Before Shabnam could do so, she is attacked by two unknown men, and wounded. Together with Amar and Rafiq Sayed Jaffrey, they locate the key - but do not know where to locate the lock. Then Shabnam is attacked again, but Amar rescues her. Amar's world is turned upside down when he is accused of treason, court-martial-ed, and dishonorably discharged from the army. Disillusioned by this, he decides to join the very forces that are involved in treason. And when he does he finds out that he is not amongst strangers at all.

Plot: After Laxmi has had three still-births, her husband, Satyaprakash and his mother are afraid she will not be able to give any more births, and therefore there will be no one to carry the name of the family forward. So they propose that Satyaprakash gets married for a second time, to which Laxmi consents to, and as such he gets married to Rukmani. After this marriage Laxmi gets pregnant and gives birth to a son, Rajkumar, and shortly thereafter Rukmani too gives birth to a son, Lakhan. Rajkumar is abducted, and disappears from their lives. Thereafter, Satyaprakash is arrested for the murder of a contractor, and sentenced to prison. Rukmani and her brother, Buddiram, take over running the household, and inflict abuse on Laxmi. Years later, a young man appears claiming to be the missing son of Laxmi and Satyaprakash, and he attempts to bring some sense and honor for poor Laxmi. But this does not last for long, when Satyaprakash is released from prison, he recognizes the young man, as his fellow prison inmate, and much to the shock and dismay of Laxmi, asks him to leave the house, little knowing that he has now thrown open the door for Buddhiram to kill him and Laxmi.

Plot: Peturam is an overweight, albeit sensitive young man, who is head over heels in love with beautiful Radha, the sister of Tej Singh, and would like to marry her. The movie turns out to be a success, making Peturam, who is now known as Ram Kumar, a millionaire overnight. Pleased with his success and ensuring that he has more than enough to satisfy Tej Singh, Ram triumphantly returns to his home-town in his chauffeur-driven Mercedes Benz - only to find out that Radha has already been married to a man named Aloknath Gupta, and is soon to bear his child. Plot: Chandru lives in a palatial house with his dad, Ram Kumar; mom Sita; elder brother Shyam and his wife. Plot: Amar Doraiswamy is the only child of multi-millionaire businessman, who lives in a palatial house in Goa, India, along with his wife.
