XYZ

XYZ-White1-300x105

XYZ is an online opinion blog posing as a news site. It was established in 2015 as an ultra conservative blog, masquerading as an alternative media/ news source which functions outside of the mainstream media. Describing it as a news source is dishonest as XYZ has little to no factual basis for the majority of its articles. It takes its name as an extreme opposite to the liberal leaning Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). It operates a Facebook and WordPress. Its crude attempts at satire are similar in nature to other far right blogs including Ozconspiracy.com and Whitelaw Towers.

The authors of the XYZ are predominantly based in Melbourne and studied at RMIT University. The content posted on the XYZ can be best categorised as repressive right reactionary nonsense. Its contributors have expressed support for an array of positions including Western cultural preservation, Christian extremism, anglo Australian nationalism, Euroscepticism and white nationalism. It functions as a hate column against so called political correctness and the unifying far right conspiracy theory of “cultural Marxism”, its targets being leftists, Muslims, feminism/ women, immigrants and LGBTIQ peoples. It mirrors the American based ideological trend of the white nationalist/ neo fascist Alternative Right (Alt Right).

XYZ’s contributors hold close affiliations with the nationalist “patriot” movement. It is noted for aligning itself with fascist forces. This includes Sydney’s president for peanuts Nick Folkes and interviewing warped Melbourne neo Nazi Felicity Sharpe, swapping tears about intolerant lefties.

Other prominent contributors to this ‘news’ site go by the pseudonyms: Boethius, Keating and Vic Timms.

David Hiscox

Wp 2

A far right writer from Melbourne. Hiscox studied politics at Melbourne University where he developed his ultra conservative political views. Presumably cause no one wanted to talk to him. Doing what any repressed right winger does, he decided to start up a blog. This blog is called XYZ, an alt right online dumping site for arch tories, white nationalists and other crypto fascists.

Hiscox is one of XYZ’s most active contributors, using his online platform to espouse his hatred towards Muslims, leftists and women. He is a vocal supporter of Donald Trump and a regularly posts on obscure far right websites such as the Sydney Traditionalist Forum.

Turns out that aside from being an online fascist troll, Hiscox is a competent musician and plays in several jazz/ prog rock bands that gig around Melbourne, in particular at NMIT. He plays piano/ keyboard for the Mae Collard Trio as well as for Fauna Cake. He is also the head piano tutor at Soundworks Music Studio in Brunswick.

Jeremy Morgan

Wp (2)

A far right activist and blogger. Jeremy Morgan is an Anglican priest, working at St Philip’s Anglican Church in Mount Waverley. He also seems to moonlight as a far right blogger for the ultra conservative WordPress/ FB page XYZ.com. He is married to Clair Morgan (née Claire Preston) another contributor to the XYZ blog.

Morgan considers himself a voice in a growing conservative movement. Derp. His content on XYZ articulates his Catholic extremism, expressing animosity towards Islam, queers and leftists. He takes particular aim at feminism, claiming in one article that feminists welcome refugee rapists into Australia. What a clown.

Formally Clair Preston Morgan is a right wing blogger. Writing under the pseudonym Elizabeth Couchwoman, Morgan is a contributor to the ultra conservative blog XYZ.com self proclaimed ex radical feminist with an axe to grind against the far left. She is married to leading XYZ blogger Jeremy Morgan

The majority of the articles written by Morgan reflect her pathological hatred for Muslims and Islam. Clair, like her husband Jeremy, is a Christian extremist. She was responsible for interviewing then neo-nazi Felicity Sharpe after the anti-communist rally that was held in Richmond in June 2015.

Erin Batu

Batu is a spoilt rich kid who lives in Melbourne and studies urban planning at RMIT. Originally from Pergamos, Cyprus, Batu also claims to have studied political science and sociology as well. When Eren isn’t posting about the new car daddy just bought him, his whining about feminism, socialism and communism on the online opinion blog XYZ which he is a contributor to.

Batu, like the majority of XYZ authors holds ultra reactionary political views and is mates with an array of eurosceptics, traditionalists and other crypto fascists. He identifies as a conservationist but a hatter of the environmentalist left which he personifies as the Greens.

John Pasquarelli

Screen Shot 2016-08-30 at 2.44.49 pm.png

A far right politician from Queensland. Pasquarelli served as a member in the House of Assembly in Papua New Guinea during the 60s. It was reported by those close to him that during his period in office he harboured deeply racist views regarding the PNG people.

From The Amazing Man Behind Pauline Hanson in reference to the peoples of Papua New Guinea:

“We have examples in Africa and other countries of the world where different classes of people were not united when independence came to them and we have all read and heard about what has happened in many of these instances – rape, plunder, riots and murder, as well as mockery of the judiciary and other institutions.”

Pasquarelli was formally associated with the Labor Party before being kicked out for alleging several branches had been infiltrated by communists. He was also known for his associations with far right ex Labor personalities B.A Santamaria and Graeme Campbell. He was a prominent member of the One Nation Party. He acted as a close advisor to party leader Pauline Hanson, writing her infamous maiden speech attacking immigration and multiculturalism.

Pasquarelli became something of a mystical figure in the party, often being referred to as the power behind Hanson, acting as her mentor. He was known for his vocal opposition to immigration and multiculturalism, which he would refer to as peril. Following the collapse of the ONP he became a self proclaimed political commentator, calling for conservatives to oppose immigration.

In 2011 he helped produce a statutory declaration of a former union official that pointed to alleged corruption in the Gillard government which was distributed through right wing shock jock Michael Smith. He has since relinked with Pauline, re-joining the ONP as one of Pauline’s advisors.
