Art Acord
Arthemus Ward "Art" Acord (April 17, 1890 – January 4, 1931) was an American silent film actor and rodeo champion. After his film career ended in 1929, Acord worked in rodeo road shows and as a miner in Mexico.
Early life and career
Art Acord was born to Mormon parents (Valentine Louis Acord (August 3, 1832 Vincennes, Indiana - April 24, 1922 Provo, Utah) and Mary Amelia Petersen (February 20, 1858 Salt Lake City, Utah - November 28, 1891 Stillwater, Oklahoma) in Glenwood, Utah. As a young man, Acord worked as a cowboy and ranch hand. He won the World Champion Steer Wrestling (Bulldogging) at the Pendleton Roundup in 1912 and repeated as champion in 1916, defeating challenger and friend Hoot Gibson.
Acord was one of the few cowboys to have ridden the proclaimed bucking horse Steamboat (who later inspired the bucking horse logo on the Wyoming license plate) for the full eight seconds. His rodeo skills had been sharpened when he worked for a time for the Miller Brothers' traveling 101 Ranch Wild West Show. It was with the 101 that he became friends with Tom Mix, Yakima Canutt, Bee Ho Gray, "Broncho Billy" Anderson and Hoot Gibson. He went on to become a noted actor in silent Western films. Accord also performed as a stunt man. He made over 100 film shorts, most of which are now considered lost.

APMAs 2016: SKYLER ACORD of ISSUES wins BEST BASSIST
Issues’ Skyler Acord wins the award for Best Bassist, presented by Razor & Tie, at the 2016 Alternative Press Music Awards! "Most bass players aren’t used to getting a whole lot of attention, but this is cool!" he said in his acceptance speech. "If i can do it, anyone watching this can. Surround yourself with people that don’t tell you 'no,' and I am literally surrounded by people who never told me 'no,' and I appreciate that very much." After a fan vote, Acord won against fellow bassists in Being As An Ocean, Miss May I, Motion City Soundtrack, the Amity Affliction and the Story So Far. Issues were nominated for Best Live Band and Most Dedicated Fans at the 2016 awards. Last year, they took home the Skully for Artist Of The Year.

"Most bass players aren’t used to getting a whole lot of attention, but this is cool!" he said in his acceptance speech. "If i can do it, anyone watching this can. Surround yourself with people that don’t tell you 'no,' and I am literally surrounded by people who never told me 'no,' and I appreciate that very much."
After a fan vote, Acord won against fellow bassists in Being As An Ocean, Miss May I, Motion City Soundtrack, the Amity Affliction and the Story So Far.
Issues were nominated for Best Live Band and Most Dedicated Fans at the 2016 awards. Last year, they took home the Skully for Artist Of The Year.

Laura, una joven de 25 años, atormentada por su doloroso pasado, decide dejarlo atrás al salir en búsqueda de venganza junto a Hernán, su fiel compañero y guarda espaldas. Pero el repentino brote de una infección mundial que vuelve caníbales a los seres humanos, los obligan a permanecer con un grupo de extraños que luchan por sobrevivir. Laura debe luchar con sus demonios internos y postergar su venganza, mientras convive con los demás sobrevivientes; Dario, un estudiante de cine convencido de que debe documentar la situación; Mariano, un soldado que perdió a todo su equipo y Horacio, un hombre que no tiene nada que perder.
Inicios:
Sangre Sucia arranco con el formato de cortometraje, no debía durar mas de quince minutos, sin embargo la historia se fue extendiendo y termino siendo una película. Este es el primer proyecto audiovisual de la productora Kamaleon Producciones, conformado por alumnos de la facultad de Bellas Artes de La Plata; el surgimiento del proyecto nació como necesidad de explorarse como profesionales por fuera del circuito facultativo y sus trabajos prácticos. En un inicio se planteo el proyecto acorde a las capacidades de una productora que recién se iniciaba con un audiovisual quizás mas grande del que podían abarcar en ese momento, sin embargo, a lo largo del proceso la situación se fue complejizando y los requerimientos para llevarlo adelante eran cada vez mas grandes, pero inesperadamente, muchas personas se sumaron al proyecto aportando desde su lugar: maquilladoras, actores, músicos, etc. Todos ad honorem. Gracias al boca a boca y las redes sociales, cada vez que se convocaban extras para alguna escena, la concurrencia era masiva, mas de lo planeado e imaginado inicialmente, participando mas de 100 extras. Por otro lado, contó con el apoyo de los medios platense con notas en el diario “El día” y en el “Hoy”, como también varias entrevistas radiales al director y guionista del film.
Se estreno el 25 de octubre en una función privada a la que asistieron 170 personas. Sangre Sucia, además fue seleccionada en el festival de terror Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre, el mas importante festival de terror de Latinoamérica, con dos funciones programadas para el 4 y 7 de noviembre. El 7 de diciembre se agrega una segunda función en la ciudad de La Plata, a la que asisten 150 personas.
