A whale has been freed after a rescue mission in Moreton Bay on Tuesday morning.
One boat could be seen trying to help the large animal at Shorncliffe, which was reportedly trapped in a net.

Whale freed in Moreton Bay
A rescue operation succeeds in freeing a whale trapped in a net in Moreton Bay on Tuesday morning. 7 News Queensland
A media spokeswoman said either the Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing or Environment and Heritage Protection was working to help the whale.
About 8.30am, the animal was freed, making its way out to sea, according to traffic reporter Dave Andrews.

A marine park rangers spokesman told the ABC the whale had become trapped in nets.
"It certainly did encumber the whale," he said.
"There are a few marks around the tale and that where the net was attached but nothing too serious, so that could have led to its beaching."
He said the bay was also particularly shallow in that area, near Cabbage Tree Creek.
"With the tides we've got at the moment, they're quite big and it can just run out of water," he said.
