Royal National Park is a national park in New South Wales, Australia, starting 29 km south of Sydney CBD.It is known to many enthusiasts as simple the "Nasho" and is easily one of the best stretches of road around Sydney.
Some general info:
- Coming from Sydney, turn-off at Farnell Ave from Princes Hwy/Acacia Rd to enter the Nasho. Alternately, continue down Princes Hwy towards Waterfall and you'll eventually come to another turn-off which probably has more twisties. Continue on past Sea Cliff Bridge to head to Bulli and Wollongong or turn back and get on the Southern Fwy for a quick route back to Sydney.
- Cops pretty much live here since "the incident" (google crazy carlo if you dont know what I'm talking about), which is a shame. There's a few long straights and I know its tempting to put the hammer down but resist unless you feel like donating to a friendly patrol car waiting in the shrubs.
- It is usually not that busy past Bundeena except during the day on weekends and public holidays. Best bet is to go early morning or around dusk if you want a traffic-free run. If you're really game you can go at night, but BEWARE the kamikaze animals. A deer on your windscreen at 3 in the morning is not an enjoyable experience.
- If your car is very low, you may have some issues brushing the frontend on a few of the slower corners. Nothing too nasty, but just keep that in mind.
- This is a public road......so enjoy the twisties and the scenery but please don't wrap your car around a tree by driving like an idiot. /rant

I've create 2 video's of a bush walk to the figure 8 pool's in the Royal National Park. I used GoPro templates for both to see what worked best for walks. This video used the GoPro Template, bring your own big wheel. Can't go wrong with this one. Makes all walks look good.
My other video used the GoPro template, Alana and Monyca surfing. That's an ok template but bush walks don't look that great using that template.

A national park is a park in use for conservation purposes. Often it is a reserve of natural, semi-natural, or developed land that a sovereign state declares or owns. Royal National Park
The Royal National Park, colloquially the Nasho or the Royal, is a protected national park that is located south of Sydney, New South Wales, in eastern Australia. The 15,091-hectare (37,290-acre) national park is situated approximately 29 kilometres (18 mi) south of the Sydney central business district near the localities of Loftus, Otford, and Waterfall.
Founded by Sir John Robertson, Acting Premier of New South Wales, and formally proclaimed on 26 April 1879, it is the world's oldest surviving purposed national park (pre-dating Yellowstone in the United States), and the first to use the term "national park" anywhere in the World. Its original name was National Park, but it was renamed in 1955 after Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia passed by in the train on the way from Wollongong during her 1954 tour. It is historical fact that the Royal is the oldest gazetted national park because Yellowstone's original gazetting was "public park or pleasuring ground".
The park was added to the Australian National Heritage List in December 2006.
