George Buck Flower

George Buck Flower (October 28, 1937 – June 18, 2004) was an American actor, writer, producer, assistant director, production manager, and casting director. He was sometimes credited as Buck Flower, George "Buck" Flower, George Flower, Buck Flowers, C. D. LaFleur, C.D. LaFleure, C.D. Lafleuer, and C.D. Lafleur.

Due to his gruff appearance, he was often cast as a drunk or homeless character. Director John Carpenter gave Flower a cameo role in almost every film he made throughout the 1980s.

Flower was also the father of actress/costume designer Verkina Flower. He died of cancer at age 66 on June 18, 2004.

John Carpenter

John Howard Carpenter (born January 16, 1948) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, editor and composer. Although Carpenter has worked in numerous film genres, he is most commonly associated with horror and science fiction films from the 1970s and 1980s.

Most films in Carpenter's career were initially commercial and critical failures, with the notable exceptions of Halloween (1978), Escape from New York (1981) and Starman (1984). However many of Carpenter's films from the 1970s and the 1980s have come to be viewed as cult classics, and he has been acknowledged as an influential filmmaker. Cult classics that Carpenter directed include: Dark Star (1974), Assault on Precinct 13 (1976), The Fog (1980), The Thing (1982), Christine (1983), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), Prince of Darkness (1987) and They Live (1988).

Carpenter is also notable for having composed or co-composed most of the music of his films; some of them are now considered cult as well, with the main theme of Halloween being considered a part of popular culture. He released his first studio album Lost Themes on 2015, and also won a Saturn Award for Best Music for Vampires (1998).

The Adventures of the Wilderness Family

Adventures of the Wilderness Family (aka The Wilderness Family) is a 1975 family movie that stars Robert Logan, George Buck Flower and Susan Damante-Shaw. The film had two sequels, The Further Adventures of the Wilderness Family (1978, aka Adventures of the Wilderness Family 2) and Mountain Family Robinson (1979, aka Adventures of the Wilderness Family 3). The filming location was the Gunnison National Forest in the state of Colorado, although the film is set in Canada.

Plot

Skip Robinson is a construction worker who lives with his family in Los Angeles, California. Concerned about his daughter's health and the welfare of his family, as well as despising his job, Skip grows tired of the city life and decides to move his family to the Rocky Mountains with no plans to ever return due to the smog and congestion. After moving his wife Pat and two children, eleven-year-old Jennifer and seven-year-old Toby to the wilderness and then building their own cabin near a large lake, they settle in to find out that their new environment isn't always as peaceful as it may appear.

The Candy Tangerine Man

The Candy Tangerine Man is a 1975 American action-adventure blaxploitation film starring John Daniels, Eli Haines and Tom Hankason. Distributed by Moonstone Entertainment, it follows the story of the powerful "Black Baron" (Daniels), both a pimp and a doting father. The film was directed and produced by Matt Cimber and written by Mikel Angel under the pseudonym of George Theakos.

Plot

A successful Los Angeles-based businessperson, doting father of two and a loving husband, Ron Lewis (John Daniels) turns into a completely different self at night – his alter ego, the "Black Baron", a prominent, powerful and feared pimp; but after killing two racist police officers in his pursuit, the Baron realises that his pimping days are numbered.
