Knights 12, Rabbitohs 34

A pretty typical Knights game in 2016 - they tried hard but were well beaten. A couple of bright moments for them, with the try on debut for Phythian and that brilliant Mamo effort, but all in all they were second-best again.

Souths have now won three in a row after that horrific stretch of losses, and will hope to end their season on a positive note against the Bulldogs next week. Thanks for following along, we'll see you next time.

Gray puts it down as the Bunnies were looking for another try. Just a couple of minutes remaining here.

The Knights spread it early and once again Denniss puts it down when he had open space in front of him!

Jeremy Smith takes the conversion attempt from right in front and drives it through! 34-12.

Brilliant try from Mamo!

Sensational stuff - he hits a gap, goes past a couple and then chips and chases...he can't regather on the first attempt but does it through and then grounds it ahead of Johnston in cover.

Dane Gagai is ragdolled over the sideline by Aaron Gray - shades of Tallis v Hodgson about that exchange.

Tom Burgess drops it while trying to play the ball so now Newcastle have a chance. Scrum 20m out.

Denniss loses it! He had a chance at the line after a tap-on from Peter Mata'utia but the ball goes to ground.

Gagai takes off down the sideline before a scuffle breaks out between Gagai and Cody Walker. That was very much an AFL-esque 'fight' with a lot of words and pushing.

Reynolds nails it from the sideline! 34-6.

Johnston scores one of the easiest tries of his career!

Reynolds gets the ball 10m out, he can see that the defence has shot infield by a mile and chips to the wing where Alex Johnston has literally 10m with nobody else around him. He catches it standing on the try line and then puts it down. Too easy.

John Sutton finds a way over the line, but he's held up - the ball is stripped by Elliot in the in-goal and he then loses it forward, so it ends up being a dropout.

The Bunnies make another break, this time Inglis streaks away before finding Tom Burgess in support - the kick on the last is played at and then goes over the sideline, so the Bunnies get a scrum 15m out!

Sam now puts the ball down and the pass is picked up by Pat Mata'utia - Newcastle are attacking the line but then Mamo drops it cold on the last tackle!

Easy kick for Reynolds. 28-6.

Sam Burgess gets one!

On the last tackle, the dummy half pass goes to Sam for a simple hit-up and he carries three of them over the line!

Peter Mata'utia turns it over! Just two plays after the kick-off. Souths on the attack again.

Hodkinson converts and it's 22-6.
