The Yakima Gulag has been feeling the Bern. Yes, we endorse Senator Bernie Sanders for President of the United States of America. Single Payer health care, Free college, no more stupid wars, and the Jewish guy is far less of a Zionist than anyone else running. We personally attended two of his rallies. Key Arena in Seattle, and his Historic visit to the Yakima Gulag. Only 3 presidential candidates EVER have visited the Yakima Gulag. Teddy Roosevelt George W. Bush and Senator Bernie Sanders. If I were a Clinton supporter (..and I really am not...) this really would have turned me. He is a good speaker. He is right on damn near all my issues. With Sanders I don't feel the need to hold my nose as I mark my ballot. I feel good wearing his button. I've donated to his campaign and I am an actual delegate. It's also likelier he'd beat Trump. He'd even beat Kasich. Bernie just HAS to be the Democratic Party's nominee!

Karadzic got a Guilty verdict and a sentance of 40 years. After all this time it seems so anti-climatic. I've been busy on local matters of importance. I haven't had time to fully process all this.

I have been following American election news closely. Trump has been important news. I don't like him and have been pretty suspicious of his latest trophy wife. She is from Slovenia. I don't have a problem with that, however, while Trump's ancestry is not at all a secret, you can't find much about Melania Trump. I pretty much had her pegged as typical ex- Yu Eurotrash. No question that she is a beautiful woman. On the face of it, she's worked as a model essentially since childhood in her natal village of Sevnice, Slovenia. Her maternal familymnames are known and fairly typical Slavic Slovenian names.her father's name Knavs or Knauss, is a Germanic name. In Styria and Carniola this is not odd or remarkable in and of itself.centuries old villages of miners who came originally from Saxony dot the entire Balkans. In the post - WWII era many of these villages were wiped out. Particularly this was so in Croatia and Slovenia. If you weren't solidly a Partizan, your family's best option was to attempt to go either to Austria or Italy. Part why this happened is that ethnic German people were suspected of being sympathetic to the NAZI regime. This was not always the case. These Saxons, while culturally very German, retaining their language and national dress and customs, they also were intermarried with their neighbors and a certain number were Partizans. The other reason ethnic Germans were wholesale driven out is that the NAZIs ethnically cleansed Slovene locals, replacing them with people from Germany. It is very difficult to get complete information on Melania Trump's father. Melania's mother grew up'in the confines of Sevnice Castle' This means perhaps her family were related to the Countess who fled to Italy, or perhaps her mother's family descent from a family of old retainers who served the family. The castle was occupied by the NAZI invaders, as was the entire area. So who are Melania Trump's people? Humble peasants? Descendants of invaders! Aristocrats?
