Person hit by train at Narre Warren, Pakenham line suspended

Commuters are facing peak-hour disruptions on Friday, after a person was hit and killed by a train in the city's south-east.

Rail operator Metro has been forced to partially suspend the Pakenham line, with more than a dozen buses running between Dandenong and Berwick.

And V/Line is running buses on its Traralgon line due to the incident on the tracks near Narre Warren railway station..

Emergency services were called to the scene at 2.50pm.

Police said the death was not suspicious.
