Ganesha also spelled Ganesa, also known as Ganapati and Vinayaka is a widely worshipped deity in the Hindu pantheon.His image is found throughout India and Nepal. Hindu sects worship him regardless of affiliations. Devotion to Ganesha is widely diffused and extends to Jains, Buddhists, and beyond India.
Although he is known by many attributes, Ganesha's elephant head makes him easy to identify. Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honoured at the start of rituals and ceremonies. Ganesha is also invoked as patron of letters and learning during writing sessions. Several texts relate mythological anecdotes associated with his birth and exploits and explain his distinct iconography.
Ganesha emerged as a distinct deity in the 4th and 5th centuries CE, during the Gupta Period, although he inherited traits from Vedic and pre-Vedic precursors. He was formally included among the five primary deities of Smartism (a Hindu denomination) in the 9th century. A sect of devotees called the Ganapatya arose, who identified Ganesha as the supreme deity. The principal scriptures dedicated to Ganesha are the Ganesha Purana, the Mudgala Purana, and the Ganapati Atharvashirsa.

Lord Ganesha was the son of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. However at the time of his birth, Lord Shiva was not around, so when he came to visit Goddess Parvati, Ganesha did not recognise him and did not allow him to enter his mother's abode. Wild with rage, Lord Shiva severed Ganesha's head. Seeing her infant son dead, Goddess Parvati orders Lord Shiva to reincarnate her son. Lord Shiva therefore orders his servants to bring him the head of any infant. After his servants bring the head of a baby elephant, Lord Shiva merges it with Ganesha's body and brings him back to life much to the satisfaction of Goddess Parvati.

oṃ: The eternal source-sound-vibration of creation.
gan: Bija mantra (condensed sound form) for Ganesha.
gaṇapataye: "To Ganapati." Ganapati is another name for Ganesha with similar meaning, as the lord ("pati") of Shiva's army ("gaṇa").
namaha: (Same as "namo") To honor or solute. "All glory to..."
One of the most prominent deities in Hinduism is Lord Ganesh(GOD OF SUCCESS). When offering any form of prayer, His name is invoked before any other God’s name. This was a blessing he received from his parents Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The name Ganesh is derived because he is the chief (eesha) of all the servers (ganas) of Lord Shiva.
Lord Ganesh is referred to as the one with the single tusk, the one who has mouse as his vehicle and the one who penned the epic Mahabharata.
Mantras are usually of Sanskrit origin, which are power-packed formulas, highly compressed and charged with a magical potency and deep meaning. Mantras can be a word, a sound or a phrase. It helps in elevating or modifying consciousness by its meaning, rhythm, tone, sound and the reflexology of the tongue against the palate of the mouth when saying the mantra.

In the meantime, Punit is abducted by Gangu Tai and held there. Gangu has taken a liking to Punit, as he reminds her of her son. When the police start an investigation against Gangu Tai, they assign Agni to go and arrest her, which she does. When Gangu is released, she herself has Agni abducted and tied up in her hide-out. Agni is shocked when she finds out that Punit is involved with some of Bombay's most wanted, and now Punit must decide to stay with Vishnu, Gangu, and Ganpat or else go back to Agni, if so, will the three permit him to do so?

Sharada talks him out of this, he repents, and on her insistence, gets married to Chanchal, the daughter of Hukumdas and Lajjo, who come from a wealthy background. Things then spiral out of control when Chanchal finds out that her husband and his step-mother had been in love before and may not have overcome their intimate feelings for each other.

Lord Ganesha was the son of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. However at the time of his birth, Lord Shiva was not around, so when he came to visit Goddess Parvati, Ganesha did not recognise him and did not allow him to enter his mother's abode. Wild with rage, Lord Shiva severed Ganesha's head. Seeing her infant son dead, Goddess Parvati orders Lord Shiva to reincarnate her son. Lord Shiva therefore orders his servants to bring him the head of any infant. After his servants bring the head of a baby elephant, Lord Shiva merges it with Ganesha's body and brings him back to life much to the satisfaction of Goddess Parvati. If the hawkers menace at Vashi is anything to go by, then there is little hope that NMMC will follow the order of Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik. That’s because, despite coming out on the roads personally and issuing orders to officials to remove illegal hawkers, the Vashi Ward Officer Ashok Madhvi continues to ignore the diktats of the Minister. Retorting to the attitude of officials, Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik said that it was because a percentage collection system between corporators and officials exists that illegal hawkers crowd the city; however he said this time; official to do not follow orders will be suspended. Question is : Is NMMC Commissioner and his team of official, specifically Vashi Ward Officer Ashok Madhvi listening?
All hell broke loose for inefficient and corrupt NMMC officials and illegal hawkers in the janta darbaar of March 2011 when Vashi ward officer Ashok Madhvi was called by Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, reprimanded for not remaining present during the darbaars and was given two hours time to clear Vashi bus depot of illegal hawkers. Within half an hour of the orders, action started at the depot to remove illegal hawkers. And when the janta darbaar got over, as the Minister had warned, he came out on the roads to check for himself whether NMMC was following his diktats or not at the Vashi bus depot, the Navratna lane of shops in Sector 17, Vashi and the eating outlets outside Vashi Railway Station.
